    If Swanson was a sure thing out of the pen then it'd be easy to swallow but you can't fault me for expecting volitility from a bullpen arm who's had 1 great year. Did we really need to get ripped off in one move to make another? Didn't realize we were turning into a small market team here...

    All of baseball hopes their bullpen arms can turn into Andrew Miller. Just cant believe you'd trade one of your best hitters for that uncertainty when you're going for the world series.

    Trading a guy like Teo to a team that just embarrassed you in the playoffs will probably have more people who hate the trade than like unless Shatkins get a great haul.

    Shapiro would never fire Atkins. They're clearly attached at the hip and will probably go down together when the day comes.

    Ya I don't get it either. He's locked up to one of the best deals in baseball. Why bother trying to trade him unless he's horrible in the locker room.

    Agree with most except firing Shapiro just yet. Not only do we need to find a real SS to move Bo to 2B, we need to find a real CF to move Springer to the corner OF spot. We are flawed at the 2 most important positions defensively.

    I have repeatedly said this man... taking out one of your best starters just so you can give the ball to a bunch of average bullpen arms is idiotic. If you want to play this way, go out there and get some elite bullpen arms. This is on our management just for being a bunch of idiots who think they're smart. Let's hope our offense can still pull through here.
