  1. Shapiro is looking at more construction projects. This is solely on Atkins lol.
  2. Yup, you focus on that part while I focused on the other part. Explains how we talk on here lol And the entire baseball world was ok with our "game planning" of removing Berrios after the 3rd inning right... nothing to change there lol.
  3. False, don't even wait at 3rd... ignore the 3B coach and get gunned out at home instead
  4. Hey I'm not saying this is completely on the front office. The level of idiocy that we all see on the bases is mostly on the players. That reflects on their poor IQ/instricts and probably spills into other aspects of the game too like hitting approach. Just meant that everyone should be looking into readjusting their approach top to bottom since we haven't accomplished anything.
  5. Ya the money makes it hard to swallow getting Bellinger. I think Shatkins would be smart to not go 200 without any team opt outs. But man... getting that left handed bat right before vladdy would be ideal. Plus his defense in the corners would still probably give us the best OF defense in the majors.
  6. Whatever they were telling our hitters this past season should probably be reversed. To get that many career low years at the same time from so many hitters probably tells you it could be a strategy problem. Don't want to take the blame from the players themselves for sucking entirely but there could be a bigger possibility here.
  7. https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/bichette-says-reflection-needed-organization-wide-after-blue-jays-elimination/ Not saying Bo "blasted" the team but simply said it's time to rethink what's being done currently. I swear it feels like some of the people totally wiped it out from their minds how the majority of the fanbase felt after we got swept in the WC round yet again. It wasn't a pretty few weeks and a lot of people were calling for some heads to roll...
  8. Maybe a team/management that has accomplished absolutely nothing should be open to criticism/discussion? You realize that you only get better in life if your hear the hard things and not only surrounded by "yes men" right. Who would know better on what's happening internally than the players themselves. Bo also made a comment about things needing to be changed so guess it should be f*** him too right? Anything to avoid looking at our precious guys in charge lol.
  9. Bo has already started throwing shade and we'll see how that ends up lol.
  10. Report: Blue Jays interested in Reds' India https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2797168
  11. Teo is the perfect platoon/4th Ofer who DH's during the other times. Perfect world, we'd get him and Bellinger, especially if Chappy is out of our range. RF Springer SS Bo LF Bellinger 1B Vlad DH Teo CF Varsho C Kirk/Jansen 3B Martinez or cheap 1 year filler 2B Biggio/Schneider Against lefties, we sit Varsho while putting Teo in LF and Jansen/Kirk at DH.
  12. Ya Chappy may have turned down a contract offer before but I'm going to guess reality will sink in for him. He has not earned anything over 100M based on his recent play. Guys like Semien, Ray, Bellinger and many more had to reup for 1 year in order to earn the contract they thought they deserved. It's either that or Chappy has to revise his expectations on a long term deal.
  13. Polanco is horrible defensively at 3B isn't he? We cant go from Chapman to him defensively even if his bats better. Rather just overpay Chapman slightly to keep the "Ohtani whisperer" around in his contract year.
  14. Of course I liked it because that's how you talk to people too, including me. And you just called me a clown for no reason loll. Whatever, enjoy your day.
  15. Ya it's a habit that I get made fun of by a lot of people... can't help it. *trying very hard not to add an lol there too
  16. Ya but you can do that without having to be so confrontational all the time. The Jays haven't won a World Series and haven't really come close in like 30 years (except 2015). Being critical of them should be expected considering we're not even a small market and people want more. Expect some to be able to vent frustration on here. That is all.
  17. To show that particular post is not super serious and that I'm being lighthearted with my remarks
  18. If you read my post, I said I would be very happy for 2024 but make no mistake would not like to extend a lifelong fatass to a 10 year deal. That is all.
  19. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/12/cody-bellinger-reportedly-seeking-200mm-or-more-in-free-agency.html So time to shift our attention to Teo, Chapman and the best DH on the market? Rather spend there than get suckered into a 200M deal for a wildly inconsistent player that I'd love only on a cheaper deal. Springer Bo Vlad Solar Teo Kirk/Jansen Varsho Chapman Biggio/Schneider Back to being stupidly right handed heavy but I'd rather have a bunch of good right handed hitters than crappier lefties just to have balance.
  20. Vlads looking for a big payday. I'd be more impressive if he was in this type of shape AFTER he signed his contract.
  21. 0 chance I'd ever give someone that type of money who hasn't proven anything in the Majors. Unless he plans to pitch more than once every 5 days, I cant see any value from the contract he'll be getting. Gimme Gausman + Berrios over him without even having to think about it.
  22. Pretty sure he went there because Texas offered the extra year, which we weren't willing to. And honestly, most thought the Rangers overpaid for both Semien and Seager but it clearly worked out for them.
  23. Haha 10/300. 6/150 is the ideal contract but he might be able to squeeze 7/175 from a desperate team. Makes you wish you just spent that on Semien in hindsight then lol.
  24. Damn... he would have been a nice option if we failed on our first 5 targets lol. Report: D-Backs bring back Gurriel on 3-year, $42M deal https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2796653
  25. This will be great for 2024 hopefully but I don't trust people longterm that make it seem like such an effort to remain in shape. While i love Vladdy, guys like that don't deserve 10 year deals even if he puts up his 2021 numbers. Also, is he wearing his shorts backwards? Lol
