  1. Feel like we can rip off SD and SF because they're desperate, especially SD who wants to win while they have Soto.
  2. Maybe his physical is concerning the Jays and the deal might not go through?
  3. Must be great to be a Met fan lol.
  4. Don't think we need to do full time platoons if Gallo was here. We still have the DH spot that we can rotate people through. I'm sure Kirk will take up half those spots but it should be available the other half and that's assuming we're at full health.
  5. Hope so... we have a good lineup but far from one that I'd consider to be scary and good enough to offset our other limitations. Still want that impact left handed bat. Not sure who or how tbh. Springer Bo Vlad Kirk Chapman Gurriel Merrifield Moreno KK
  6. Everyone seems to love his D in this thread #NoHomo
  7. I'd say more like Pillar. KK is better defensively and should expect the same OBP from him offensively. Let's not forget the added base running that we could certainly use.
  8. Even Teo of the past few seasons was massive for us... not sure why you're dismissing his offensive contributions. And let's not forget that cannon of an arm for the times he could catch the ball lol.
  9. The year we got Glaus/Overbay and friends and 2013 after the Marlins trade and adding Dickey... boy were those exciting times in the offseason. We'll ignore how the season actually went lol
  10. While I hated his laziness in the field, clearly his extension expectations were too unrealistic for the Jays. There is no doubt that Teo is going to have his best season as a pro next year (assuming he's healthy). Part of me would have taken that + the compensation pick over what we ended up doing. Then again, I have very little exposure to Swanson and he could easily shut me up during the season.
  11. Oh come on... such semantics here lol.
  12. Haha that is exactly who I thought of and shivered at the thought lol
  13. Ya we still need a big left handed bat that can crack the top 4 of the order. I have no idea who that player will be and what position they'd play but it's def needed.
  14. Are you putting Merrifield as the 3rd OFer who is better? He is better suited to be the 4th OF and starting 2B. Also, I highly doubt KK would have signed here over the Dodgers thinking he'd be the 4th OFer. Nor would our front office give the man 2/24 if they thought he was the 4th OFer. Seems pretty easy to extrapolate lol.
  15. Worse. Something about getting rid of your cleanup hitter who showed up large in the playoffs for a guy coming off major Hip surgery doesn't call it a wash for me. Teo is entering a contract year so I fully expect him to have the best year of his career. The reliever from Seattle will need to be lights out in high leverage situations for things to look good for us.
  16. Well... we beat out of the Dodgers for his services so the price isn't going to be light. Always good to get a player that one of the best teams in baseball want too.
  17. I can see him and Springer getting into a fight when KK calls him off for a routine fly ball lol
  18. Who's the best hitting lefty that Shatkins have acquired or developed during their entire era? I'm honestly drawing a blank here lol.
  19. Does he? I see he's projected at 1.2 WAR
  20. *3rd, which makes him a starter currently. Everyone saying he's our 4th/5th OFer is out to lunch lol.
  21. Guessing it's gonna piss a lot of people off so I'll say 3/35 lol
  22. Let's wait until we hear the terms of the deal lol
  23. While I'm really happy with this signing and he's obviously not coming here to be Zimmer, Bellinger provides that possibility of returning to his MVP form. I'd also want a guy who rejected multi year deals to bet on himself. I have no doubts that he'll have a much improved year.
  24. Oh no doubt that we are worse today than we were last year and last year wasn't good enough. Let's see how the rest of the offseason unfolds.
  25. I am a big fan of this signing. The importance of his CF defense will be massive. I wonder how much he got though.
