  1. To be fair, they removed many of the stats for these players for things like their barnstorming tours and exhibition games. Otherwise, the counting stats would have been MUCH higher.
  2. Is it really an issue that Hugh Duffy, who played in a league pre-integration that had a collective batting average of .309 and an ERA of 5.33 is no longer the single season batting average leader? To me, it's not.
  3. Vlad for me today
  4. Vlad gets his turn with the Jack it tonight
  5. I saw that after I posted...perhaps the reports he didn't like it in the past were exaggerated.
  6. I would call myself team worried, but not panicking
  7. I saw mention of a homerun red carpet a couple of weeks back on twitter. Was that something that actually happened? Are they just bringing these things out for Bo's homers? If that is the case, this clubhouse might be really bad as he's the one guy who seems not to like those celebrations.
  8. Green's contract is terrible for a wildcard yet I can't argue with him being described that way.
  9. Don't get me wrong, I am worried but the season is far from over. Success can be contagious and there is a path to better days for this team. Vlad's putting up some good numbers, Bo's coming around and we know he can carry a team when he goes on a heater. Turner either turns it around or gets replaced by a Horwitz or Barger who could spark life into the lineup. Once the bats get going a bit, the RPs will not be pitching in high leverage nearly every pitch and that should hopefully help them out a bit. And if none of that happens, at least we will be rid of Atkins
  10. This must be like that new girl math. It could have been 20% below league average so it is actually 10%.
  11. Mayza was an AA draft pick too. So in 9 years this front office has drafted and developed Pearson alone as a bullpen arm. You should have lucked into a couple by this point in time.
  12. Is this management team honestly too stupid to realize that Richards is elite against left handed hitters? Sometimes I wonder if Schneider might be trying to get himself fired to get out of toxic situation with all of his pay. Not that it will matter given the way they hit ;(
  13. For what it is worth, I appreciate the Cole's notes that you added here.
  14. Maybe Bonilla is that guy, although still only in the FCL
  15. He hasn't looked great this season and has somewhat lucked his way into not blowing one so far, but there are far too many Jays fans who think closers never fail and always have clean innings when that is simply not true even for the elite guys.
  16. I think Garcia has more value in the current role he is in. He's facing the best hitters in the other lineup or high leverage situations regardless of if it is the ninth or not.
  17. You've got to hand it to the opposing pitcher.
  18. I wouldn't personally as that feels like too much to give up especially with some concerns around Gallen this year. If you could sub another prospect in for Wood I think it would make sense though as TINSTAAPP and Mayo strikes out a ton which would concern me..
  19. His point is the answer is so obvious it doesn't warrant asking. Although I suppose given the incompetency of this front office they might keep both Vogelbach and Votto on the roster.
  20. that probably said just as much about the Jays system as it did about Nimmala
