  1. Didn't they inherit Walker?
  2. I'm positive that Justin Turner will start looking more and more like Tormund Giantsbane as the season continues(and his beard grows)
  3. Kevin Kiermaier's face.
  4. well, this move never happens if Trout is healthy.
  5. Springer had great success listening to a garbage can, why wouldn't he listen to an actual coach?
  6. The Wilners of the world will say a hitting coach doesn't shoulder any of the blame for the players not hitting well as it's on the players themselves. I've never understood that take as why are you paying 3-4 of them if they have no impact on the game?
  7. Acuna also came into the season with a lingering injury...
  8. So true here. I do some stuff with my golf swing that by all means shouldn't work (hitting short irons off my front foot being the biggest) but it does work for me. I had lessons with a pro and it helped my game immensely as he worked within that since it was working. On the other hand, I think my swing breaks simulators somehow as anytime I've used them they have had me three or four clubs shorter than I hit in real life (and 75-100 yards short on my driver)
  9. I've loved Joe since his days on the radio. He's so knowledgeable about the game and an excellent announcer in my opinion. My only complaint (and this goes for all of the announcers) is how much he talks about the guys int he dugout talking about hitting. I truly think this is a directive from the team though as it picked up when they got rid of Teo/Lourdes and anyone else other than Vlad who liked to have fun in the dugout. They want to give off this professionalism vibe even though few of these guys have professional at bats.
  10. MLB can't even properly manage getting good uniforms. I don't have any faith that they are ensuring balls meet the proper standards.
  11. he does usually hit about one in 20 PAs so I could see it today. What's the point of having a guy with no glove and no speed on the roster if he only has 23 PAs 31 games into the season...oof. I'll go with Varsho today.
  12. Because arbitration calculations won't consider if it was a max effort situation or not would be one reason I'd guess.
  13. April 30 Vladdy - 2 Points Bichette - 3 Points - Dylan Schneider- 3 Points - mphenhef Turner - 3 Points Springer - 4 Points Biggio - 5 Points Kirk - 6 Points Kiner-Falefa - 7 Points Clement - 8 Points The Bench (Any PH): 10 Points Hopefully I end my drought.
  14. April 29 Vladdy - 2 Points Varsho - 2 Points Schneider- 3 Points Springer - 4 Points - mphenhef Turner - 4 Points Jansen - 5 Points Biggio - 5 Points Barger - 6 Points Kiner-Falefa - 7 Points The Bench (Any PH): 10 Points
  15. Some Constanza didn't think it through.
  16. so he would fit in just great with this team?
  17. Maybe getting rid of his friends and his jacket has had a mental impact on him that's affecting his performance on the field.
  18. I was thinking yesterday there was a time where adding a no homer hit option wouldn’t have payed out too often…now it would far too often. Anyway, I will take Schneider today.
  19. Vladito please
  20. April 24 Vladdy - 2 Points Varsho - 2 Points - Spanky Bichette - 3 Points - Dylan Vogelbach - 4 Points - Omar Springer - 4 Points Jansen - 5 Points - Jonn Biggio - 5 Points Barger - 6 Points - bones10, mphenhef Clement - 8 Points - wilko The Bench (Any PH): 10 Points
  21. Vlad for me tonight please
  22. It's a good thread, but I don't want to see Vlad compared to other underperforming Jays players.
  23. Many on this board erroneously think a closer should close out 100% of their save opportunities. Even Mo blew nearly 1 in 9 of his opportunities. Career save percentage: Mo - 89.1% Eckersly - 84.3% Hoffman 88.8% KRod - 85.2% Wagner 85.9% Henke - 85.0% Duane Ward - 77.1% Edwin Diaz 86.7% Devin Williams 85.7% Romano 89.3%
  24. Report I read said his velo went down from where it normally is before being removed. I'm not sure if the 91 was reduced or expected velo though.
