  1. Miley is off the board and with the Brew Crew. I would have been happy with him as a 5th SP.
  2. It's a baseball podcast, not 90 Day Fiancé, which you should totally do one day if able.
  3. I couldn't ever listen to it with my kids around due to Boxy firing Fbombs like a gatling gun..
  4. The more I think about Duvall, the more I like it. Plus D, probably would mash in the AL East, playoff experience.
  5. I believe the days of just putting a guy out there regardless of his D ( or s*** D) are over. Everything the Jays have done this year has been toward the objective of run prevention. Why would they do all that and trade a bat like Teo, only to get some other s*** defensive fielder. Point being, I think they do care. Unless your name is Bo, you better bring the D on this new Team.
  6. When I meant "cheap", I meant acquisition cost. Still should not be something that would sell the farm..
  7. Laureano is who I wanted at the deadline last year. He would be an awesome get. I believe Oakland values him very highly and I don't think he would be quite as cheap as some think. Although, I think he would be worth it!
  8. We also have a heavy fly ball pitching staff..... I believe it is accounted for.... Just teams need to act on the data or decide to prioritize over offence or other factors..
  9. Are they factoring in CC which is not yet a sure thing??
  10. Even after I traded McClanahan, for Gunnar Henderson and Drey Jameson, and Alcantara, Gallen and Mahle for Judge and others.. I still have, Webb, Flaherty, Quantrill, Rogers, Drey Jameson, Wainwright, Bradish, Perez, Houck, Wentz, and others... I don't hear you talking smack in BORED and you don't even have the nut sack to play in LOD where I would whoop up on you there as well.
  11. Fake news at it's finest.
  12. It was in the context of the Rockies talks with the Marlins for Rodgers and someone else’s post comparing fWar of Espinal and Rodgers you heathen infidel. I don’t think there is anyone on this board that follows the Marlin’s and their pitching more than I do. I know Biggio would not move the needle and the comment was said in a specific context and with some sarcasm.
  13. Post??? I have never thought Biggio would get us s*** from the Marlins!???
  14. We have one (1) proven closer on the roster so far. Swanson was a great add, but has not proven he can close yet, I hope be can. Def better than the start of 2022 IMO with Swanson, Pop and Bass on board. Just worried if Romano goes down the trickle down affect. I want a pen to have at least two no doubt closer types, a la Houston, Yankees, Seattle, Indians, Baltimore even had two, and more.
  15. The Colorado talks were for Cabrera, not Lopez.. They would have 5 +/- years of control I believe..
  16. Yes, agree 100%. That is what I was saying, our equivalent guys that we could move are not enough bat. We would have to def add and I am not sure what we have that could bring it across the line.. Barger is a nice idea though...
  17. Well, we now have an idea of the apprx price for the Marlin's pitchers. The Rockies and Marlins were discussing Rodgers for Cabrera and the Yankees Glyber Torres for Lopez. I would move Espinal or Biggio for one of those guys.. Doesn't sound like enough bat coming from us which is what the Marlins want. I wonder if we could work Martinez in a trade to the Marlins...
  18. We need a 5th SP and an additional high K low BB guy in the pen before we need CC IMO.
  19. As long as he is willing to do whatever is necessary and be a team player to get his stuff under control, it should be a great signing.
  20. So a bunch of MLB umps are retiring, like 10.. Unfortunately, Angel Hernandez is not on the list...
  21. Too bad he doesn't look like Charlie Sheen...
  22. Easier to frame the low strike when you are only a few inches off the ground...
  23. Bo and Vlad are not apples and apples compared to Acuna and others AA has offered long term security to. I have said this before and it needs to be said again. Both, Vlad and Bo are pro player kids. They grew up wealthy and have no financial worries. Much different then some kid off the island who knows that if they get hurt or suck they might never have a chance to have generational wealth in their family so they take security over risk.
