Well to play Devils advocate- For one Ray, there was two of Rourke and Kikuchi.. We don't know if the Blue Jays are ok with Kikcuchi and White. They very well maybe and probably are, still looking for additional pitching. My post was for other posters who think we have sufficient and solid depth after our top 4.

What metrics are they using to forecast improvements as SP for Kickuchi and White??? Kickuchi pitched in the pen to end the year. White didn't finish the season strong.. If you had a pitcher who's over all numbers sucked but they finished strong or were a BABIP victim it is one thing. I don't see any of that with these two.. You are literally relying on some voodoo magic to project an improvement.. I agree with Jim and others.. We should bring in another SP.. Wade Miley, Wacha etc... Someone that has a more consistent track record then anything else I have seen.. Which is just throwing s*** (with some of them) against the wall and hope it sticks.

The Blue Jays have made the team and SPs better than last year. Great starting four! Let's take a look after that: Why are people considering Kikuchi and White as depth. What changed from last season? What metric are you using to show that there will be a difference from the 2022 season? Kikuchi has 1 and 1/2 seasons of suck vs 1/2 a season of being good. That is not a strategic plan built on substance, it is a hope and prey. Hope and pray maybe one of the two will be better. Hope and prayer is not an acceptable strategy. Ryu is older, not shown a propensity to stay healthy and good, need both the past few years. Again, this is a hope and pray strategy based on zero metrics saying he will be available, healthy and good. Relying on spec SPs that have never pitched an inning of MLB is not a strategy, again, it is hoping that one of those spec SPs can come up and translate their milb numbers to MLB hitters. The track record on milb pitchers doing this is very small compared to the rankings pre first MLB appearance. Then, you have pitch count restrictions etc. The usual suspects were saying our pitching depth was fine last year prior to the season. I said it was not, it was not. Again, great starting 4.. Good job FO. After that 4, off a cliff.... based on any tangible MLB performance metrics.

Florida is a micro market and different compared to other parts of the U.S. The demand for property in Florida is still strong from all the people fleeing NY, CA and Illinois etc. They have cash from inflated home prices in their home state and interest rates don't affect them as much. Unfortunately, $800K won't get you anything too great in Florida these days.. Unless you go to more rural areas.

Dude, we were in two different universes, hence my confusion with all your replies. My post had zero to do with something that happened with the Blue Jays and I never said it did. I was replying to Max Silver’s long post where he was talking about in general, let grown men do as they wish and it doesn’t matter what they do after a loss. I was talking about philosophical differences in discipline, leadership style and rules.

What about the part in Money Ball where Jeremy Giambi and all them were partying it up with music and dancing in the club house after a loss and in the midst of a long losing streak.. Is that ok?

Maybe that is the secret/reason we have been landing so many FAs lately. I know I would take a lower AAV if I was playing on that team.

A young elite CF/OF who is a lefty bat, can also play catcher, who hit 27hrs and had 16SBs. Has shown year over year improvement. Nobody in baseball recorded more outs above average than Daulton Varsho. Dalton Varsho would make the team much better then it was before the KK signing and even after. Smart winning team builders on this board know why he would be a great get.

Dude, I am not upset or have any ill will over a rejected trade. I have had hundreds rejected and will have a hundred more from everyone in my leagues. I had a problem with you on the Fantasy side only because the leagues are better with active owners. You took the team from a guy who was an absentee manager. You then at some later date said something along the lines of you needed to get to know players and then didn’t have time to do anything with the Team. There was nothing with anyone for months, during the season also. At the same time you were saying you are too busy or don’t have time for BORED, you were posting very frequently in threads, on Reddit (according to you) then finally getting very involved in off board leagues and your whole Fantasy advice thing with the Sheriff. So my only opinion was, great, we just replace an absentee owner with another absentee owner, who says he doesn’t have time for our league, but sure has time for everything else. Leagues suck when you have teams with zero participation. I would think the same of anyone who ghosts a team but doesn’t say hey guys, I am not interested anymore or life events have changed and I am too busy please find a new owner. My only issue with you was ghosting the league. I now think you are being way too dramatic about a harmless comment and made a mountain out of a mole hill. If you are going to be so sensitive and dramatic about every little micro aggression going fwd, the board is probably better off without you. However, I am not a ban supporter in general. I don’t think you did anything for a perma ban. Do what you wish..
