  1. What are you expecting for half a billion dollars? (Yes, I did put my pinky finger to my mouth when I said a billion.)
  2. Well to their credit they got a switch hitting thumper which pluses them 40hrs. Happens to also be a good club house guy and team mate. Unfortunately, the consensus was/is the Jays needed two (2) additional thumpers and would need to hope all others (the core) returned to form.
  3. Holme’s hair tells me this is a guy with a 6 + ERA. The Jays should be scoring runs off him!
  4. I’m here to watch a baseball game. No interest in looking at dongs.
  5. Wait until the pressure is off. Then he will become Babe Ruth…
  6. Put together a good team in the NBA, MLB and you don’t have blame/crutch out on bias. 2019 Raptors
  7. I'm generation X haus, you aren't talking to a Millennial or whatever came next. I have heard this anti-Canadian ump bias since the days of Exhibition stadium and the 94 strike was coordinated to screw the Expos from winning a WS and blah, blah, blah. There is a difference between bad calls and bias. How the hell did we win two WS and a boat load of AL East championships prior to the WC if all this bias? As to your New York bias, do you think the umps are all from New York City? You think an ump that grew up in Boston has a New York bias? Country Joe West when he was around umping has a New York bias?? Hunter Wendelstead, famous for kicking Aaron Boone out of a game, went to school in New Orleans and him and his father ran an ump school in the Daytona Beach, FL area have a NY bias?? This anti-Canadian ump bias should have gone away around the time the Betamax. Total weak sauce to blame just a bad call/s or a Team loss on that s***....
  8. If if's and buts were candys and nuts, we would all have a very merry Christmas. How long have you been watching baseball for? If Soto wasn't 2 balls in the hole (yea baby) maybe he would have hit a HR and made it moot. If the Big 3 Jays bats hit anything other than singles, maybe we would have blown it open. If we had an extra bat instead of Gimenez in the clean up spot (mirage as a clean up hitter) maybe the Jays would have blown it open and the Winker play wouldn't matter. If Springer hadn't of let a previous single go for a triple, etc, etc, etc. That game was not made or break on a check swing call and it is obtuse to think so.
  9. Sandlin f***ed up my pitching ratios in Fantasy 🙁
  10. The umps don’t think like that. Only insecure people think like that. Majority American players on the Blue Jays. American Club President, GM and manager. No one in the US thinks that way, they don’t think like that or give a f***. You would have more bias from people who hate NY or the North East vs South or West coast vs East Coast bias. Or heartland vs big city… Pathetic in 2025 people are still blaming bad calls as some anti- Canadian BS.
  11. They called two balls strikes to Soto earlier in the inning. Biased umpiring? You are unhinged dude…
  12. Brewers with a -22 run differential after 3 games….
  13. This is NOT a new take for me. However, no way I do it. I mean we have had him all this time and we are still where we are. I think we need to do a Tony Fernandez/Fred McGriff, for Joe Carter/Roberto Alomar trade just to change the culture/chemistry.
  14. That's all you get for a $460 Million USD offer. Needs to be $585 million USD present day value if you want XBHs and HRs.
  15. Roden and Lukes for O, Straw for CF D. The reason I say this, is because even if Springer is in there for D, they are not playing him in RF anymore. That value gets negated when he plays LF...
  16. Sitting Springer is the best move this team has made in a while. Not sure why you are complaining about that? You get better D from Straw and better hitting from the rooks/youngsters..
  17. The key metric to track with this team is going to be run differential. The difference between the outlook for last years team when they were hovering around .500 and the 2015 team hovering around .500 was ~+125 2015 Team, ~ - 35 2024 Team. So far 2025 -10 ;)
  18. Haven’t been able to watch the game. How did the OF do? Looks brutal on paper.. Or did they not have any chances since the balls were over the fences?
  19. Wish MLB had the balls to call it Taiwan, which is it's real name and what the people who live there call it.
  20. Hell no. I like Springer for the most part. I can’t stand Stroman. I was just using a current and public example of ball players not wanting to do something. To George’s credit, he dealt with it behind closed doors which Stroman and now Devers, have not.
  21. So I am making a point based off the manager’s words, former MLB players and people who cover the team for a living over a course of months. The counter points are. Springer seems like a nice guy from my perspective behind my keyboard. Or me no see this data on Fangraphs, therefore is false. Ball players have egos, and not all pigs are equal and they expect different treatment. BB is correct, Springer was struggling with the reality of age and decline. Rainbow colored glasses keep people in good spirits though.
  22. I listened to the show daily and the Friday call in with JS on multiple weeks. In addition, Barker and Blair have off record sources and things JS told them that he couldn’t say on the air. To anyone really paying attention at the time, this is not a surprise. Don’t shoot the messenger, this was a topic discussed daily ad nauseam. They had one of the worst hitters in the league over that stretch getting the most ABs and coming up late innings with RISP multiple times and failing. It went on so long for a reason other than projections.
  23. He did not want to be taken out of the leadoff spot and he created an atmosphere where they were scared to do it without really pissing him off and the repercussions for the Team that come with it. After he started sucking for so long, he finally acquiesced. . Frame it however you want, they didn’t make the move earlier because of potential blowback. If any other player other than their guy with the biggest contract he would have been moved way prior. Stroman hasn’t technically refused to go to the pen yet. However, he tells the org and the media 100 times a day I am a starter, I am a starter. I am not a pen guy, I am a starter. Ergo, Yankees know if they put him in the pen there will be drama. Who gives a f*** what Stroman thinks. However with the Jays, they didn’t want to rock the boat.
  24. They didn’t want to piss him off and deferred to his status for a long time when he wasn’t producing. John Schnieder talked about this diplomatically many times when he made his Friday appearances on Blair and Barker. Springer has a lot of pride, had always hit leadoff, had the huge contract and WS etc. It was apparently a tricky navigation until finally Springer went and said, ok, move me down if you need to. So credit to Springer in the end, but by that time the hole was deep.
