  1. Baat U only secend big to Mother Russia! #1 BIG in hole Werld!! And Russia ave Space Station, Vodka and Putin beat Trudue in cage match and Bear eat Beaver! Bwa hahahahahaha!!
  2. From MLBtraderumors.com The White Sox knew about the arrest at the time, club spokesman Scott Reifert said (via Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic).
  3. Trying to stay away from politics. However it is relevant to the topic at hand. The preface that Biden is making the virus a top priority is some BS. In the US, the President Elect is not President until the end of January. Basically the new President won’t get rolling until February. The owners and MLB will have to make FA decisions and revenue projections before then. Additionally, Governors in various states have expressed unwillingness to issue a vaccine so quickly. New York state being one.
  4. Apparently the WS were aware of this before the hire. I am not an expert in employment law, however I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express. My understanding would be the WS would be on the hook for 100% of his contract whatever that is. So Tony stays manager or he is back where he was a few weeks ago but with a lot bigger retirement fund.
  5. I follow Jays Journal on FB. Not sure why, garbage analysis and commentary. I think it used to be a Josh Donaldson fan page and changed. Anyway, todays article, now that we signed Ray we have taken care of our pitching depth and can concentrate on other things. BS analysis . We have no where near sufficient starting depth to make the playoffs in a 162 game season with regular extra innings and predictable injuries. We don’t have a sufficient pipeline either! Pitching, pitching, Pitching, don’t take our foot off the gas!!
  6. Depends if your talking playing 3B or power ABs. There is obstacle course type muscle which makes you lithe and quick, which is great for 3B. Then there is gym muscle, where if done properly will give you more AB power..
  7. Depends if he knows how to optimize his weight. There is a risk he could lose some power if he doesn't have the right balance.
  8. That is actually a good point.. I hope he handles it better then he does 1B.
  9. Not many handguns have safeties these days. As long as he doesn’t fat-finger it he will be ok. He should really use a holster though.
  10. Not an analytical reference. However, I remember one game when they were dominating us in the playoffs back in the day. We were rallying, TLR had a RP in, faced a hitter and I guess we either PH or there was a lefty righty or vice versa. So, TLR puts the pitcher at 1B, brings in a same side pitcher, gets the out, puts the original RP back in to pitch and they kill our rally. As a young kid I thought it was the smartest thing I had ever seen a manager do and the first time I had seen it.. I still remember that to this day..
  11. I was listening to MLB radio on XM. This was the take: Agree with the old guy, hard time communicating with younger guys. He does speak Spanish, so helpful However, guys on MLB are saying TLR was analytics before there was "analytics". Positioned defense better than the Rays do now. Took into account many things analytics do now. So, yes, old guy, but if what I am hearing is true and for whatever it is worth, he is not old school when it comes to player and in game decisions... Not the decision I would have made, but just because old, doesn't mean old school in game/player assessment mentality.
  12. I appreciate it, but I am just a baseball fantasy guy. I really know nothing about the current players nor follow the NHL much. I can scour baseball sites for hours but have no motivation for that on the hockey side. Thanks though!!
  13. These things tend to get political. I doubt Plesac wins for pitcher due to his Covid issues.
  14. Not sure if this is the place to ask this random question, but since it appears that people who don't follow hockey much are welcome I was watching the Mighty Ducks the other night with one of my sons. I had no idea there are no more Minnesota North Stars... What happened to them?
  15. You would think Seattle vice Oakland, would be a logical choice and have synergy. I guess they must already have an affiliate they like?
  16. Definitely sounds like a fun bunch of guys to party with.. Strippers and weed
  17. That stadium is probably better than the Coliseum.
  18. Solak is on the market along with DJ Stewart Nick Solak has CF/OF/2B eligibility. Thanks
  19. Lamet has been moved. Thank you to all again for your participation/efforts and offers.
  20. Good day, I will be accepting offers on Lamet. Not 100% going to move him, but with the right offer, I am now open to it. This is a change from my previous position which was always a hard no. I am not going to pigeon hole the type of offer I am looking for. As long as I feel it makes my team stronger in certain areas, I am open. I generally gravitate to players under 30. However, I am not going to make that a deal breaker if the right fit. As far as how I value him; His is still young, a NL Cy Young candidate this year and pitches in a pitchers park. He has a high K/BB, low ERA , OBP and goes deep into games. Therefore, I need value in return. Thanks
  21. This is not how you want playoff games. I tuned out after a half inning, I am sure the majority of fans did also... Those close games in the last week were really exciting.. This is just anti-climatic..
  22. Tumpane 2020 - Making Umpiring Great Again
  23. Tomlin is horrible and a liability every year in the playoffs. If Braves advance they should replace him.
