  1. Thanks, it would be those two plus one (1) of the #1 SPs.. I listed. Trust me, I don't put my s*** out there for any of my BLMB leagues...LOL This one is off board. I generally know what I am going to do, just never hurts to get an outside perspective.
  2. Dynasty H2H, I think I put the scoring a page or two back. It has contracts but those are not a major factor in these two trades. Thanks!
  3. Guys, take a look at the Fantasy advice thread please. Need some quick turnaround advice. I am in the middle of a draft. Thanks!
  4. Why did I just now see this, are you still drunk? Room for sloppy seconds after Spanky already came and left? Let me look at your roster?
  5. It has been well rumored Springer is talking with the Jays, but also the Red Sox and Mets.. The latter two are favored. A Lindor deal I could see happening more so then Springer signing as a FA. We are deep in the farm in some areas the Indians want, the whole Indians relationship and familiarity and we have the money to do an extension. Plus Lindor is like 27 vs Springer 31 or 32 so it makes sense to dump more money and give up prospects for a 27 yr old. They can slot Martin to CF in the future.
  6. Pretty sure I know the answer here. Still would like to bounce it off the board. 1. Corey Seager for Woodruff SP and Lamet SP. 2. Cory Seager for one (1) of either Tyler Glasnow, Kenta Maeda, Stratzburg, Scherzer or Kershaw, plus John Means and Sean Murphy. So 1 of the Aces, John Means and Murphy Need quick turnaround if possible. Thanks!
  7. That would be awesome and I would take another year in Buffalo or somewhere else for that. As a fan/tourist, that would def motivate me to plan a trip to TO and see a game.
  8. I was reading a baseball site who has got all the predictions right so far for the offseason FAs, QO etc, albeit not many so far... T The only FA of note they have coming to the Jays is Brad Hand... I think some of you on here are going to be extremely Blue Jays balled. I hope they are wrong...
  9. My biggest criticism of them is their prospect development at the MLB level. It is like a really good prospect graveyard due to the how they use them, call them up and deny them ABs and sign or keep s***** vets that block them.
  10. Almost every single guy in the 2020 Braves pen was an AA acquisition, a very, very good pen. Did you forget all those signings and trades?
  11. Gausman accepted a QO as did Stroman, that is two this year when since when the QO started in 2012 there have been a total of 9 who accepted prior. That right there should tell you this is not a normal off season.
  12. By the way, this is spot on. I said basically the same thing a week or so ago to Jim saying wait until the FA class of 2021. This off season is different and 2021 will not be in our competitive favor like this year. Strike while the iron is hot Carpe diem A bird in the hand better then two in the bush Geterrr done! Less talk, more action And all that!
  13. I had to check my URL, I thought I had mistakenly gone to the Manchester United Football page in the UK, with all this, wanker and Mate being thrown around. All very British of you. Tea time at 4, hip, hip. PS: I love sac bunts!! Suck it Hurl!
  14. Not anything he can't buy his way out of in Mexico. The issue is what if any action MLB would take..
  15. So you are saying there is a chance...
  16. I heard that also. Estrada was also AA which turned out nice. There was also that loophole he used with that catcher in Colorado that they ended up closing the year after that got us a draft pick and ended up being someone decent.. ICR
  17. I suck at math. My point was with respect to frequency equals WS wins. Braves were in the WS in 91, 92, then 3 times after according to your post. So going back to 91, the Braves had 5 WS appearances and 1 WS win. Blue Jays have 2 appearances and 2 wins. That is all I was saying.
  18. Thanks! I was hoping you would chime in on that. For some reason I recalled you being a coinsure of all things Vidal
  19. Thanks! What about the fact that both are only 2b in Fantrax and projected to be 2b in MLB I think, correct? Flip one or?
  20. Thank you. Is the order you wrote the +2 three guys plus Springer the order you rank them or was it just random?
  21. I bet they cried for days when Huntington left the Pirates and Cherington came in.. No chance for ransack part II
  22. Need some more help guys. I have pick #2 in a disbursement draft. Yelich is going #1, so right now pick #2 could be Corey Seager, or one of Glasnow, Scherzer, Strasburg, Kershaw, Maeda, Merrifield, Eugene Suarez, to name a few. Another owner really wants my pick. This is a Dynasty league HTH with contracts same league and scoring as previous posts. I am debating if I should take one of the above players with pick #2 Or ask him for one of Springer or Ian Happ for CF, I don't have a CF on my roster (pick one?). Dynasty where you have FAAB and need to sign contracts 31/32 vs 26/27..? Plus, one or two of his young guys. I need help ranking a package Gavin Lux Carter Kieboom Vidal Brujan Luis Campusano San Huff Seth Beer Josh Jong Travis Swaggerty Thanks!!
  23. You sure do love older SPs on the downward plane. I am surprised the Hurl hasn't begged you to join one of his fantasy leagues so he could dump all his old / injury risk SPs on you in trade
  24. Listen, I love Biggio, Bichette and some others. I appreciate the farm system is much better then under AA. However, at the end of the day, the goal is to win a WS and at least go far in the playoffs so as many have said you increase your chances year after year to win the WS. I don't believe you can consider making the playoffs this season and out in 2 the same as winning the AL East and going to game 6 of the NCLS. 2016 was a 65-35 split effort 65% being AA. The Miami Marlins made the playoffs this year and actually won a few games. Everyone on this board told me the Marlins suck!! We have a better looking, more exciting and sustainable long term business plan under Atkins/Shapiro at the moment, but we still still need to see the results before we proclaim Atkins anything. AA should start 100 points ahead just for the Josh Donaldson trade. If there is any player I want to dump from the Jays it is Randall Grichuk.. That is/was Atkins biggest contract/extension prior to Ryu.. Still too much to be determined IMO.. Great to have a good farms and young players, need to bring it home though. That is the tricky part or San Diego would have 10 WS wins.
  25. So, your first novel had some good points. However, if I really had the time I could counter every example it did not work with a number where it did work. The Blue Jays have one more WS win then the Braves the past 25 years, yet the Braves were in the playoffs a LOT more. The Cubs have the same amount of WS wins in the last 20 years as the Dodgers. I disagree with my friend BTS that the Cubs win without Chapman. Blue Jays do not win in 92 without Cone. Blue Jays do not get to playoffs in 2015 without those moves. Much like movie sequels, part II of your novel is no where near as good as part one. Your very first premise is dead wrong. AA was offered a contract, a large contract $$ wise. He had NO fear that Shapiro was going to kick him out and replace him. (unless he was prepared to eat a large contract) You and I and no one on this board knows exactly what happened behind the scenes. You don't need to get legalize with what autonomy means. It is well known in all major league sports that many GMs have more autonomy as far as player decisions then others and more independence then others. Baseball, NFL, Basketball and Hockey. This is what was predominant in the media the end of the 2015 season. Shapiro and AA had lunch, met, meeting or whatever and Shapiro was critical of AA, "selling the farm". AA, a Canadian kid on the only Canadian team, who just experienced the greatest high in Canadian sport in 20 plus years, names Executive of the year, offered a multi- million dollar contract, loved by the media and fans at that time, still in his 30's, walks away.. Why??? It is industry consensus that it had to do with the "power" for lack of a better term that AA would have under Shapiro vs Beaston. I can empathize with how he feels if I in my job kept my current title but someone new came in and said we are basically going to limit by inference or directly my independence and ability to act autonomously. I know I would be pissed. AA was a star at the time on a high, so what was it other than that, why he left?? Not directed at you, but this theory floating around that AA is anti-Sabre is not true if you believe AA's own words. If you watch any interviews with him post Jays, he specifically says he models himself after Theo Epstein who is a fusion of analytics (Sabre) and some traditional ways of assessing players, and that actually, as he gained experience, he move towards that positon from a more analytics based philosophy when he started. Epstein is obviously a very successful Baseball Executive and I have no issue with my GM wanting to emulate his success. You are the one pedaling falsehoods as facts, and being Hyperbolic when you don’t even realize AA was offered a contract to stay, the rest of your points on this matter become background noise. Lastly, I have prefaced in every post I have made that I do not know anything anybody else on here does, I am just a fan looking at it from 50, 000ft and reading what was put out in the media. I have never tried to imply anything I am posting about GMs decisions is fact. Fine if you don’t like or agree with my opinions, but please stop being dishonest and projecting that I am posting facts.
