  1. I must have confused everyone.. SMH.... my bad! I have Gallen, Tucker and Franco. The guy is offering ME Soto plus the various packages..
  2. Thank you! Excellent analysis... Which complimentary pieces do you like best (of the various offers) ? I guess specifically I am asking about Patino vs Max Meyer... I already know IMO I like Martinez over Mauricio.. I think..LOL
  3. Apologize I did not make it more clear. All of those options with Soto would be for the same players, no change. Wander Franco, Kyle Tucker and Zac Gallen. Thanks!
  4. So a guy came at me BIG time tonight... His first offer was: Juan Soto, Orelvis Martinez SS (our boy) and Kris Bubic FOR Wander Franco, Kyle Tucker and Zac Gallen He then gave me two more options: Soto, Ronny Mauricio SS and Luis Patino SP or Soto, Orelvis Martinez and Max Meyer I told him I will think about it and thinking about a counter of Soto, Bobby Whit Jr , Patino and Meyer... Thoughts?
  5. I think it is relevant because Bauer has been linked to the Angels and then they went and got Iglesias ... Which could be a pre-cursor move to something like a Bauer play. That obviously affects our SP fortunes.. Also maybe one less location/competition for Brad Hand... I wouldn't get so bent out of shape about it, it is just baseball talk..
  6. He is 29, but yea, I didn't even realize he was that old...
  7. Industry is saying 100% vice versa... They were aggressive and got really good contracts relatively. They were just discussing this exact point on MLB XM
  8. So just dissecting the Teo vs Kepler part.... Still Kepler... ? I am not seeing it... but...hence I am reaching out.. Thanks
  9. Who was that SS for the Rays from the KBO who was supposed to be the next great thing and is now back in the KBO and around 30 yrs old..... I think it was like around 2016... That one didn't work out so well..
  10. Dunning is/was their 3rd best pitching prospect/young pitcher.. Much better then Hatch and Kay IMO
  11. Wow, White Sox are in it to win it 2021!
  12. Not high on Dalbec? You think Kepler will bounce back and be better then Teo? Thanks!
  13. I have some more for you all. Both Dynasty HTH leagues which have RF/CF/LF No OF spot. To play LF, CF, RF, you have to be specifically that position. 1. Corey Seager SS, Max Kepler, RF for Dansby Swanson SS , Teo Hernandez RF/LF and Renato Nunez 1b Another league same parameters as above: No SLG% Pitchers must be SP or RP for slot. 2. Bobby Dalbec 1B and Ty France 2B for Nick Solak CF/LF/2B and Tejay Anotone SP/RP Thanks
  14. Wasn't Pham more of an arbitration thing? ICR..?? Jury is still out on Xavier Edwards...
  15. Surprising to me anyway, he is above Merryweather...
  16. This quote is from a guy named Grant in that thread: So we have you saying they would move him for whatever was available (which doesn't imply to me anything of much value) and you have Laika saying, "the one that got away". Someone on this board made a joke recently that if you are a GM and the Rays call you and ask for a player, that you immediately cross that guy off your available for trade list and make him a keeper. While said in jest, there is a lot of truth to it. I think the same applies to the Dodgers. The Dodgers are a team with Yankees budget and Rays smarts.. When they decide to move a player like Stripling or not resign a FA (by their choice) etc. If you are smart baseball person you should ask why..? If they think someone is worth a s***, they will make room. When they are coming calling for a player, you better check and double check your player analysis. As to your other comment: I think I am smarter then about 65% of the board, not everyone... I am also very humble so I reduced it from 85% to 65%.
  17. My suggestion is you ask Laika why he posted, "The one that got away", to start this whole conversation.
  18. Not a bad idea, they might not be able to afford him either ( and they have Jones in the wings. .LOL Strike while the iron is hot..
  19. The context I was using, "Nothing" was not in that Williams is nothing.. It is/was in the context that the Dodgers are a much smarter organization then others and it was never going to be cheap. https://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/9457-Blue-Jays-acquire-Ross-Stripling-from-the-Dodgers-for-Kendall-Williams-PTBNL/page6 There are posters in the original thread saying the Dodgers were going to cut him anyway and should be happy to get anything. There are other posters saying in not so many words that Kendall Williams only has a few professional innings and they grow on trees and can be easily replaced next years in the second round of the NPD. My point from day one and now is that I always question why the Dodgers are willing to move a pitcher since they are not exactly a team like the Rays...And if they are going to move a pitcher.. What they are asking for in return is almost always going to hurt, short term, long run etc with their current FO regime.
  20. Nelson Cruz just took a $2 million dollar hit..
  21. I wonder who the Indians would trade for less.. Plesac or Carrasco.. I would much prefer Plesac, though I don't see it happening..
  22. Not to say I told anyone so... But the Dodgers don't give away pitchers for nothing, (like the old Pirates regime) I thought so at the trade deadline and nothing has changed. We will look back on this trade in a few years and grimace..
  23. Thanks Jim. Anyone else?
