    Good day, I will be accepting offers on Lamet. Not 100% going to move him, but with the right offer, I am now open to it. This is a change from my previous position which was always a hard no. I am not going to pigeon hole the type of offer I am looking for. As long as I feel it makes my team stronger in certain areas, I am open. I generally gravitate to players under 30. However, I am not going to make that a deal breaker if the right fit. As far as how I value him; His is still young, a NL Cy Young candidate this year and pitches in a pitchers park. He has a high K/BB, low ERA , OBP and goes deep into games. Therefore, I need value in return. Thanks

    This is not how you want playoff games. I tuned out after a half inning, I am sure the majority of fans did also... Those close games in the last week were really exciting.. This is just anti-climatic..

    How far out realistically, considering the, "New Normal" for timelines in a COVID world, are Groshans and Martin? Groshans SS, Bichette 2b, Biggio 3B, Martin CF.

    I agree with this. However, if they go back to home parks. How would you do that with travel.. Imagine a Mets vs San Diego series etc, and the time zone, travel wear and tear.. I 100% agree in principle though that I want to see teams have to test their whole depth and not just be able to use a few best SPs and RPs etc.

    To me, he is trying to entice the Yankees to get in a bidding war with the Padres to drive the price up. If I were starting pitcher, especially taking on short contracts, I would much rather pitch in San Diego then the AL East. I also think Bauer is more an San Diego vibe kinda guy.. Or, he might just be talking smack with no strategic significance..

    This is an article from FEB 2020 I personally was dubious about the Padres acquisition of Clevinger for the cost, due to his injury history. I would have targeted Plesac if you are going to go in for a penny, go in for a pound. I agree with you.. That’s a little startling because for a guy who has shown he is an ace level starter that’s a pretty low number. In Clevinger’s case, the phrase that is carrying a lot of weight is “on the field.” Over his three most recent seasons Clevinger appeared in 80 games and averaged 26 appearances a season. He missed significant time in 2019 due to a back injury and it was announced on Friday that he will miss time in 2020 due to a torn left meniscus. It’s hard to be an ace when injuries keep you off the field.

    Must suck to think your team is going into a 5 game series with Lamet, Clevinger, Paddock, Davies as your starters and now you have a rookie starting game 3 with your playoff lives on the line...

    Hosmer swung for a ball, changed the whole AB and probably the game, maybe the series. After the pitcher walks the first two guys he sees, you have to make sure you don't swing for a ball... I was rooting for SD

    I feel for the Padres... Go all in and trade 21 players or whatever it was to make a run this year then lose Lamet and then Clevinger is seriously bad luck..
