  1. I just came! Everybody in my hotel is covered in my splooge. I feel another one coming!!
  2. Yes, exactly! Which makes the PR of Osuna signing even worse, or should have anyway.
  3. Deadpool officially entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe in July 2021 when he did a promo for Free Guy. Deadpool has always been part of the Marvel Comic Universe. https://ew.com/movies/ryan-reynolds-deadpool-enters-mcu-korg-free-guy/
  4. What’s the difference between Osuna and Bauer for PR? I don’t think the Stros lost sponsors.. Astros are probably just going to get better…
  5. We were talking about Verdugo yesterday. He is a LHB and can play CF. Add Houck instead of Yorke and I would do it
  6. This was sarcasm. The real Deadpool would have given it a lol.
  7. Trust me, I know you 100% think that. That is what makes it so funny. Just thousands of bad, bad baseball takes living in cyber history is your legacy. Spoiling the name of the best MCU character of them all.
  8. Time to get on the horn to AZ or Pit now…
  9. Conforto to the Giants on a two year $36 million dollar deal. Lol the Giants taking Haniger and Conforto but worried about injury propensity. In their defense, huge difference in contract length and terms for those two vs CC.
  10. Yea, but he is a quitter not a beater. No one likes a quitter..
  11. I didn’t say one negative thing about Manoah Grant. I even said that in my posts. Recent suck, injury history and age are trends/factors that should not be ignored for Ryu and I said that. Just take the loss on this one and own it. All I said in my OP was I don’t think we have enough depth starting the 2022 season. At the end if the day it was a spot on assertion. Maybe I will be proven wrong this year, which will be a good thing for the Team and the fans.
  12. https://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/10277-Toronto-Blue-Jays-Roster-Discussion-(2022)/page2?highlight=roster+2022 Starts post #22 Deadpool says “nonsense” . Not surprised by the fake Deadpool since he exists on post count, not post quality. Stanstag- LOL What!! Grant being Grant, the rest is self evident. Almost like Deje vu….. Then again questioning the pen in post # 51….
  13. Jim is right on this one. Some serious revisionist history going on. Last year I said I didn’t like our pitching depth and I was arrogantly laughed out of the room and told, “bad take Carlos, etc”, the staff is one of best in the league etc. Now a bunch of you are saying it was obvious last year. The starting 4 is better than last year, but we still need “solid” depth. Just because some other teams don’t have solid guys for 5 and 6 doesn’t mean we should not. We need to improve and be better then last year in as many facets as possible. Just plugging guys in to fill holes does not go toward the objective. I hope we land more solid pitching.
  14. Whole different FO! Got a keep up. The Pirates FO is one of the reasons the Jays became good.
  15. Except if you Springer gets hurt or KK has issues from his hip replacement etc... You have an OF of LGR, KK, Whitt, or Biggio... Or some mix of that... *Not that scary... to other teams, scary for us...
  16. JPM saying that if the Pirates trade Reynolds, the ask that has to be in the deal is Tiedeman from the Jays Bobby Miller would need to be in for the Dodgers if they did a deal.
  17. I saw heard about it in the military from guys who wanted beards but were not in a unit that allowed a relaxed grooming standard. They would go get a chit from some doctor, or doctor shop until they found a chit that said that they needed the beard for medical reasons because shaving would cause an adverse reaction to their skin or they have hyper sensitive skin, etc, etc... I think that is how the rule will be broken with the Yankees. Some player will pull the medical reasons card.
  18. He had such a great first half of 2021 that it softened the overall numbers. His 2nd half was s***, which might have been from reduced velocity.., but it was not a good end to the season. So, 1.5 years consecutive of not being good.
  19. Thank you for this, I appreciate you taking the time to try and explain it. Ok, so you were focusing on K% which is projected as great in 2023 down to 24.4% from 27% in 2022. If we are using projections, what about BB/9- His 2023 BB/9 is projected at 3.53 by Steamer.. Rating BB/9 BB% Excellent 1.5 4.5% Great 1.9 5.5% Above Average 2.5 6.5% Average 2.9 7.7% Below Average 3.2 8.0% Poor 3.5 8.5% Awful 4.0 9.0% Poor is the second to worst possible BB/9 projection you can get.. Guys like Rodon, Above average, Mahle, average etc, so I don't think using just Kikuchi's K% is an apples and apples comp for projecting future success.. I don't know... I have only see regression from him since the All -Star appearance. Thanks again.
  20. In the case of Kickuchi. Please explain it to me like I am a 7 year old. I am being serious. What metrics are the projections using to say a pitcher who has declined for the past season and a half is going to improve the following season. I don't see that he was a victim of BAPIP etc, or some other outlier that it is probable would change this year? I mean, he might be friggin Cy Young this year, but how are the projections getting to that conclusion if you consider his actual results the past 1.5 seasons?
  21. Another option where we wouldn't need to worry about over paying FA is trade for Lopez from the Marlins. We would def be in the running for top rotation in baseball.
  22. Yes, so much from AZ that would give me a boner. Regardless, where from, we need more depth for the rotation.
  23. Yes, property taxes will go up depending on your purchase price. However, the yearly increase is normally capped by the County you are in. So Palm Bch county as an example is 2% or something like that I think. If the previous owner was paying taxes on a $150K condo, they bought in 1990 and now is worth $800K (you paid). That 2% is a lot!
  24. Just looking at Kikuchi. Over the last two seasons he was good for half a season. So, the actual track record/results are that he has sucked 75% of the time over the past two years. He started the 2021 season on fire, made the All-Star game then went down hill in the second half. 2022 he was not a viable SP for a playoff team and a team trying to win a division. Is he better than other options, or a better 5 than other team's 5s, yes. However, if our goal is to is to win the division and improve in all facets from last year, Kickuchi has not shown he is the answer in the 5th rotation position. One injury to the starting 4 or another Yo-Yo season from Berrios and now Kikuchi is your #4... Not who I want to go to war with..
  25. Remember, there is the price of a condo and then a monthly maintenance, association fees and then assessments. You could have a $1000 dollar plus maintenance and association fee per month. If the building is old, they might need to fix the pipes etc and then you get a $25 million dollar assessment fee divided by 200 units etc.. Lot's of hidden costs in condos apart from the mortgage.
