  1. Uh newsflash man he's the guy that assembled the team that came within literal inches of winning a world series. It's time to let this petty grudge go for crying out loud.
  2. All of us are emotionally gutted right now, but are you seriously stating you derive zero satisfaction from this improbable post season run? This team was viewed as a wild card contender at best and not only won the division, but won the ALDS, ALCS and came painfully close to winning a world series title. I seriously hope you aren't going to tell me that you still would have rather seen the Blue Jays lose to the Yankees in the ALDS.
  3. At the end of the day IKF showed repeatedly during this post season that he's simply not a championship caliber player. It's really a damn shame that Hoffman hung a slider to the number 9 hitter as he had a tremendous post season and hadn't allowed a home run in 2 months of play. At any rate it's bound to be a fun post season with so many rotation holes to fill, and I do tend to think that the certainty of Vlad being signed long term along with the near world series miss should make it a little easier for the front office to attract premium talent in free agency.
  4. Varsho had a tough few games but if IKF had even a fraction of a bigger lead and didn't make the boneheaded move of sliding into home plate he scores and Varsho is credited with driving in the winning run. I had the inkling that the inability to plate more of the wealth of scoring chances they had earlier in the game might come back to bite the team in the ass and that was definitely the case.
  5. It sucks as it seems like every time IKF was inserted to pinch run that Straw would have scored easily if inserted in his place. This wouldn't work positionally given IKF is an infielder vs Straw in the outfield with Bo being replaced on the bases. It sucks that so many completely empty plate appearances were handed to Straw and IKF in extra innings, and that the lowest valuable position player on the roster in IKF was acquired in the first place given how many crucial mistakes he made in the post season.
  6. I keep going over this play in my mind and I just can't come up with any reason why he was so damn close to the base. He should have been anticipating a wild pitch in that situation and getting a secondary lead so he would have a chance to score.
  7. That and the Jays sort of beat themselves as well at times.
  8. The shoddy baserunning was one of the key reasons why the Jays lost this series. There was the Bo brain fart where he wasn't paying attention, Barger being doubled off to end a game and now IKF with the awful jump at third base on a play where he probably should have scored easily.
  9. Give this garbage a rest. All of us are gutted and it serves no purpose carrying on with this completely pointless argument chiding fans for stating belief in their team.
  10. Yeah I turned it off right away as well. Yamamoto absolutely should be MVP of the series as pitching in game 7 the day after a full start is the stuff of legends.
  11. I thought IKF scored in real time but I think I zoned out that it was a force play. Him sliding into home on a force is just one more painful point to agonize over.
  12. It's a real shame that this magical run ended with the Blue Jays running all out of magic.
  13. I think the failure to score the winning run in the 9th was even bigger.
  14. I think this one is going to hurt for the rest of my years on this planet. 💔
  15. Yeah with the Jays failing to score in the 9th it's kind of broken me.
  16. I'm legit having a hard time watching now. Trying to stay positive but it's rough right now.
  17. Goddamn guy went two full months with no home runs allowed and chose game 7 of the world series to cough up a dinger to the #9 hitter.
  18. Man I hope all these stranded baserunners don't come back to haunt the team.
  19. Hey there Grant, I see you wasted little time in making a new account. There was no gaslighting. You had a complete meltdown and literally said that the intentional walk cost the Blue Jays the world series and was the worst managerial decision in team history. The Dodgers still would have scored 2 runs without the extra base runner and won the game 2-1 instead of 3-1. The intentional walk didn't cause Gausman to allow 3 hard hit balls in the inning, and those hard hit balls are the reason the Dodgers scored.
  20. That's a lot of left handed bats at the bottom of the lineup and would make it easy for Roberts to deploy the 4 lefty relievers in his pen.
  21. I was really surprised that he caught that ball as I was certain it was a base hit.
  22. This is painfully true. Gimenez made outs on balls in plays with xBA's of .710, .660 and .390.
