  2. The second most tenured #74 in history was Eloy Jimenez. The former mega prospect wore the number in each of the last six seasons with the White Sox, prior to being dealt to the O's in July (where he wears #72).
  3. Kenley Jansen has worn #74 for fifteen seasons, no one else more than six.
  4. Bringing this back from two years ago. In this thread we count down to the official opening of Spring Training 2025 (Feb 20th), using photos of Blue Jays jersey numbers or other MLB numbers of note. There are 74 Days until Spring Training officially opens. #74 has only been worn by Breyvic Valera and Jose Cuas in Toronto.
  5. Another interesting situation of similar note is Soroka, didn't realize he was so dominant in a short stint as an RP, but apparently teams are still looking at him as a starter. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/12/mets-rumors-michael-soroka-starter-reliever-free-agent.html At the right price, he could almost be a hedge bet to Yariel. Have them battle it out to earn a starter spot and the other can stay stretched out as a multi inning RP.

Gudas and Trouba on the same team, gotta keep your head up
  7. f***ing hate that guy's discount Adam Lind face
  8. I don't see the need for musical chairs though. Leave your guy at 3B and find a middle INF who can play either side of the bag as needed
  9. That was my first thought, isn't Kim a SS? I have little doubt Chapman would be great at it, but this still didn't really compute

  11. I don't mind it, we just need to trade for Devers
  12. You can go literally anywhere else on the internet if you feel like debating that s*** Card collecting is super hot right now, seems to be very common for current players to want to get their hands on their own exclusive cards.
  13. There's a live chat at 2PM EST if anyone wants to ask a question related to the Jays farm system
  14. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/12/what-should-the-padres-do-with-luis-arraez.html The article is about the Padres need to slash payroll and Luis Arraez being a potential trade candidate for that reason, but it made me realize what a weird player he is. How do you manage to win the NL Batting Title while only finishing with 1 WAR?

Annunen has been really terrible this year. They had to try and find a more steady backup, because Georgiev has been inconsistent as well.
  16. Linked to Jays for the upcoming IFA period, ranked #21 by Pipeline and #10 by BA among this IFA class.
  17. Yeah that's the one

Meh they are finally showing improvement, currently right in the middle of the league in points % (a far cry from the complete bottom feeder they've been) and goaltending is by far the biggest strength. I'm cool just keeping both unless an actual strong offer for Gibson came along. By the time you eat money to move him and then pay a replacement, may just have made the team worse and for what? One of these goalie starved teams will have to show some desperation
