  1. Its still not as soft as grass. And every player would want grass over the turf. Maybe now is the time to finally start the major renovations to Rogers Centre. They could 100% grow grass in that stadium with that right drainage system. And adjustments to the roof.
  2. Why not just keep the taxi squad quarantined in Toronto. Nothing else is going on here. I don’t understand why the entire team has to leave. Obviously being re-entered into Canada is annoying. But why not just keep the kids playing in Toronto. I know some will need to be moved on and off the roster. But you gradually move those players over to Buffalo. Tons of the players on the 60-Man will not see any major league time. Unless a disaster strikes. Like our entire MLB team gets Covid.
  3. Everything suggests they were already doing that in the background but it was not something that was seriously going to be considered unless it actually became a reality. Sometimes people need to a push. I’m sure they were contacting teams for months about this possibility. And for all we know it could have been the other franchises that were saying will think about it and cross that road when we come to it. I think anyone suggesting that they just started doing this in that couple days and haven’t had these conversations before Saturday. That’s a very unintelligent person.
  4. If only it were that simple. Was Rogers suppose to give Buffalo’s stadium a free upgrade just incase? This isn’t a video game. s*** doesn’t work like that.
  5. I hope the PNC option happens. I think they would only have 6 scheduling conflicts as well as pointed out on Twitter which can be brought down to 5 with a minor schedule change. Or you can do it mostly at PNC and do the other 2 series somewhere else. I think they should keep Buffalo just for the secondary player pool and just run scrimmages all summer. Let all the starters build up innings and all our prospects play. If anyone hasn’thad the chance to go see PNC park before its absolutely gorgeous stadium. If you were going to make after Covid vacation plans. I would recommend going to a game at that ballpark regardless if the Jays are playing the Pirates or not. It will be nice seeing it on TV for this year though.
  6. If the Jays make the playoffs I’m confident they will be allowed to use Rogers Centre in that circumstance.
  7. Lets pray that dog s*** stadium is not even a consideration. One team shouldn’t’t be forced to play there let alone 2. I do think it makes sense just to host home games in the opponents stadium. Atleast it makes it easy. Wouldn’t be surprised if they just do that. Wouldn’t be the first time either. We have hosted home games against the Phillies in Philadelphia before. So its not completely unprecedented.
  8. I disagree. Judging by the information we have got so far. Buffalo has always been looked as the emergency option and nobody’s first choice. Buffalo just doesn’t have the infrastructure to host a major league team under normal circumstances let alone with the Covid issues and trying to keep everyone distanced as much as possible. Looks like they leaning towards neutral sights. Pittsburgh is being strongly speculated on Twitter because they don’t have many conflicting home dates with the Pirates. And obviously the 2 teams never play each other. Still close enough to Buffalo to have the taxi squad in close proximity. I think if the Buffalo thing happens it will be because they had no choice. Buffalo needs a mini renovation to make it work regardless. And whose paying for that will be interesting. The Stadium is owned by the city but do you think tax payers will be happy paying for renovations for a team they will likely never be allowed to watch live lol. Either this is coming out of Rogers pocket or MLB’s. That’s why neutral sight makes the most sense.
  9. Starting to see all over Twitter. How Buffalo fans want to be allowed to go to games in small numbers. There better be nobody that doesn’t need to be there within 100 Feet of that stadium at any time this year. Unless we’re allowed to cross the border and watch as well.
  10. The hub city model was only realistic in Florida or Arizona. Its not like the NHL or NBA where any practice facility could meet regulation sizes. Most cities don’t have multiple fields to host multiple Baseball teams. I know the NHL is playing at NHL arenas but there are also far fewer games. The NBA is being played on essentially practice courts that resemble High School gyms more than an NBA arena.
  11. Had no problem with what the new guy said. Its a very real possible it could be more than just this season that the Blue Jays don’t play in Toronto. I don’t think ever but it could be years. The sad part is relying on America to get there s*** together.
  12. What the f*** does this have to do with anything Spanky lol.
  13. They should station in Buffalo but just honestly host home games in the opponents stadium at this point. No fans in the ballpark. Who gives a s*** at this point. Seems like a way better solution. Atleast our team can play in a major league facility.
  14. Or you can admit you don’t know what a Karen moment means. I wear my mask indoors with zero issues. Been wearing one inside Grocery Stores and public venues before it was mandatory. I have to wear it at work for a good portion of my day as well. Save your dumb insults for someone else.
  15. Canada is doing “good”. But its not living lol. Lets just continue to do nothing better than everyone else. Maybe boredom will kill us before the Virus does, We can really show the world! Eventually you have to take chances. But its going to be years before we get there at this rate. No perfect time exists to getting back to normal. No matter how you do you will see a ramp up of cases because it’s the nature of the beast. I’m not saying America does it right. Not even f***ing close. But we can’t sit on our hands until a vaccine comes. Like you gotta live your life. The economy is a f***ing Nightmare. People are not working or leaving their house and getting paid for f*** sakes.
  16. No a Karen moment is making a scene. I’m suggesting just walking away from the gong show. If your going to throw around insults atleast use them right lol.
  17. I don’t really see that as a leap at all. Its the reality of the situation and the state of paranoia. These Baseball players aren’t going to be slumming it in Key West after games f***ing college girls. Multiple border crossings or not these players are being tested constantly. To the point of being genuinely uncomfortable. They are no greater threat to public safety than the sketchy people who walk into your local wal-mart or grocery store. Never said there was an easy solution to this. I just don’t think the solution is stopping everything you do and hope it goes away eventually. I don’t think that’s the answer.
  18. That’s not even a Karen moment. Its a sad reality moment. We are getting dealt a s***** hand in this already gong show of a season. The sides couldn’t even agree on extended playoffs. The only joy I can take from this season is knowing the a Baltimore Orioles might not even win 5 games.
  19. Flu season I’m expecting employment to be a complete disaster. Fully expecting another nation wide shutdown. People will not leave their house and expect to get paid,
  20. Hes kinda right though. This country has become overly paranoid. People need to take precautions and obviously make good decisions. But you can’t stop living your life like it seems many Canadians have.
  21. It doesn’t matter if fans are in the ballpark or not. This is where the team belongs and this is where they should play. Why would free agents sign up to be in the state of limbo? Why sign with a team that you might actually play in the city they represent. Why would you want to play in a minor league stadium over a major league one regardless of fans. This decision could have serious team consequences going forward. If the team can’t play in Toronto I almost don’t want to watch.
  22. I will believe it when I see it.
  23. There might be multiple border crossings. But all these players are being tested more regularly than normal people. Its almost like people think as soon as The Blue Jays “escaped home arrest ” they were going to just wander the streets of Florida and go into every club. Players want to play so they will quarantine in Florida. If they didn’t want to play they could opt out. This entire decision is paranoia based nothing more.
