  1. Massive advantage for the Blue Jays because they just have to outbid which they often do. Boras speaks highly of the Toronto market to his clients. And since he’s being posted he only gets 45 days max. He can’t use his normal tactics to hold out. He’s gotta get his best deal by that date and that’s it. Amai may have his own preferences but he hasn’t been as vocal as the other Japanese free agents about them.
  2. Is he still eligible for the comp pick despite still being classified as a rookie? It says the rookie has to begin the Season on the roster and spend the entire year there. But we haven't seen this scenario with this in place yet.
  3. I wasn’t playing the same game. I was winning a World Series with Rogers money. Rotation: Gausman Cease or Amai Bieber Yesavage Berrios Bullpen: Diaz Hoffman Garcia Fluharty Fisher Little Lauer Lineup: LF Springer DH Schwarber 1B Vlad Jr 2B Bichette RF Barger C Kirk CF Varsho 3B Clement SS Giminez
  4. Schwarber is not going to happen. But those other ones could very well happen. Schwarber is just a pipe dream of mine always wanting him on this team. It’s not the most practical fit in terms of flexibility but you’re not going to see someone who hits Homeruns and gets on base at the level he does. He’s also an 80 grade teammate. He’s also in better shape now then he has ever been his career. Terrible defender but in the right set up could get a handful of games in LF and 1B. Once again absolutely dread the Santander contract that will prevent this reality. But people seem to forget that contract has a lot of deferred money. So he doesn’t have to be kept around as an anchor if and when he sucks again next Season.
  5. As long as he doesn't get 10 at-bats in the World Series again most of us would be fine with it. But he can still be dumped in the Minors for a little savings.
  6. Rogers is charging 110 dollars for Canada/US phone plans trust me they can afford it lol.
  7. -Re-sign Bichette -Sign Edwin Diaz to be the Closer -Sign either Cease or Amai to round out the rotation -Sign Kyle Schwarber to DH and hit Second in the Lineup -Send Santander with money to another ball club
  8. Don't tell me how to live my life Spanky.
  9. Really happy for George Springer. Insane career turnaround. I honestly thought I was going to hear that they DFA'd him in Spring when he looked terrible the previous 2 Seasons and was like 0-40 in Spring or something stupid. Clearly they never lost faith and he was good from the get go and cranked it up in the Second Half.
  10. I wish I could fast forward life until free agents sign. But realistically we aren't hearing anything until around this time in December.
  11. His power is intriguing but his numbers falling off a cliff when he faces fastballs over 93 MPH is concerning. I mean the average MLB Fastball was over 94 this Season. Huge whiff rate vs velocity and breaking balls. Crushes everything else. Perhaps Popkins can help fix his swing but I don’t know if you want to shell out the money he is going to command for a project. He’s also unlikely to play 3B at the next level.
  12. I don't want any of these 3 guys lol. Where is Cease and Amai my guy.
  13. It’s bait Season. Wife’s aren’t that dumb anymore to leak anything. But Bellinger and his family has visited in the past before he signed with the Cubs.
  14. I just looked. There is nothing.
  15. I would view the Giants and Mets as the biggest threats especially if the Mets don’t bring back Alonzo. Giants always have money and are looking to make a splash but I think they will be heavier on the Japanese market. Braves and Tigers don’t like to overspend and the Tigers have been burnt in recent years and completely balked on Bregman despite being linked to them all winter. Plus from Bo’s perspective I would want to know Skubal’s future before committing there. Braves letting Feeeman and Swanson walk to give Bo a bag would be an odd choice. It would not shock me if the Dodgers went after Bo. I just don’t think that would be a good look for Bo. It would be one the weakest moves in sports. When Snell did it he got a lot of s*** and they were four years removed from that World Series. Joining the team you just lost to would be in Kevin Durant territory.
  16. I don't see any reason to take Vladdy off of First Base now. Bring back Bo and let them play 1B and 2B for the next decade.
  17. I really don't think that gets it done. If you view him as a top of the rotation arm with 2 years of control would you make that trade if you are the Marlins? You're looking more at Nimmala + King + potentially a lottery ticket. And if you get into that category of prospects wouldn't you rather go after Skubal if 2026 is the primary goal to have a much better Jays team?
  18. He’s solid. Would prefer to aim higher. Plus one requires giving up assets for. You can sign Cease or another top end starter just for money. The Marlins have control of him for 2 more years. It’s going to be quite the return they would want.
  19. Very aware. Mid Rotation arm. And I like punchies. So give me Cease. Thanks.
  20. I think we all feel Bo will be a pretty good Second Baseman. He has good hands and he will make all those throws with ease. He no longer has to worry about anything deep in the hole or ranging far to his left. It will also result in much less ware and tear on the body which could make him an even better hitter. He's never been a butcher in the field. He's just not rangy or overly athletic which makes him not that suited to play Shortstop but he will make all the play hit at him. They were still a very good defensive team with him in the Lineup now they can be an even better one.
  21. Swingman are incredibly valuable. They mostly just end up in the Rotation because of injuries naturally but going into the year knowing you have a guy you can use in multiple roles including starting is invaluable. I feel bad for Lauer sometimes but he really is best utilized in this role. He would start on many teams though. Putting a Cease or Amai at the top of your rotation is just too hard to pass up on. Skubal feels more like a dream. Red Sox seem like the team to give into the Tigers demands. I would think the Dodgers would just wait until his Feee Agency.
  22. No they need to be aiming much higher.
  23. Cito’s relationship with the Jays was weird.
  24. Going back to your old team with a lesser role just isn’t something that happens in coaching.
