  1. We saw how dominate he could be. No guarantee he gets back to that but absolutely worth the gamble. When you’re desperate for good relief pitching no stone should be left unturned.
  2. I would gladly take one year of Stripling overpaid over another Kikuchi debacle. Unless its a high end starter you shouldn’t be looking to spend. Spending on back end Starters has not worked out in recent history.
  3. Atkins do not f***ing hesitate. Whatever it takes fo get this done.
  4. No brainer and no outs recorded in Game 2 of the Wild Card Series. As long as he’s employed as a Middle Reliever going forward I’m fine with this. Need atleast 3 guys ahead of him in the depth chart added at the minimum
  5. He’s not that dumb. He will just trade him for another Mitch White.
  6. I almost want to see Kirk traded at this point just to see a full fledged meltdown
  7. It was reported last off-season that Bo received in an extension offer. It was written by multiple people.
  8. This is me personally but I can live with Wheeler giving up a 3 run bomb in that situation. That is my #1 and best pitcher for the last couple of seasons who I pay to pitch in moments like that. He still looked great. Had not given up a run at that point. I want Wheeler on the mound in moments like that. Especially with such a low pitch count. I thought the same way about Gausman when he was pulled. He’s the guy you paid to pitch in moments like that. I want him on the mound deciding the outcome of the game. There’s definitely scenarios where you look for your matchups in your bullpen determined by a variety of different factors. I don’t believe this was one of those.
  9. They tried last off-season. He declined whatever extension was offered. We don’t know what the dollar figure looked like.
  10. Agree with released players. Think they probably keep Thornton though.
  11. This message board gets so f***ing weird at night lol
  12. Pulling Wheeler at 70 pitches. Rob Thompson will never live that down. Especially in a city like Philly.
  13. Jason Varitek remembers that relentlessness
  14. Oh no doubt having a strong rotation helps but that Bullpen is deep and talented as well. I think adding another legit Starter is at the top of the list for the Blue Jays. But adding swing and miss relievers and velocity has got to be up there as well.
  15. Looking at you Atkins. Build a bullpen. You can make the case The Astros Bullpen were really the MVP of these Playoffs.
  16. Give the trophy to the players not the idiot Owner lol.
  17. Yup completely different roster, and coaching staff.
  18. Hopefully Shatkins is realizing how big of a difference a great bullpen makes.
