  1. Same haha. Maybe someone here wouldn't mind looking into it? He definitely could have been tipped off. Just because it leaks to the public doesn't mean clubhouses weren't informed ahead of that.
  2. I didn't check to verify it, but I read that he became s*** prior to the investigation leak.
  3. Atkins so desperate to old onto all these options. Worried about DFA'ing scrubs like Edwards and Beasley off the 40-man, just to active Murphy off the IL. Murphy is clearly much better, get rid of the scrubs.
  4. Haha talk about the K rate more and more and slowly it will magically reduce.
  5. Patrick Murphy 2 IP, 3 K, 0 BB, 0 H Call the man up!
  6. Orelvis today: 3-5, 2 2B, 2 BB, 0 SO Great line!
  7. Moreno & Kirk would be my choice hands down. We need to sign a Vet Ace in the off-season though. Need at least 3 starters who can, more or less, call their own games. 1. Vet Ace (my choice is Scherzer) 2. Ryu 3. Ray (extend him) 4. Manoah 5. Pearson
  8. We'll see. The BA crew all mentioned on their latest podcast that he's major league ready now and hinted he could be a Top 10 prospect in the game by July's rankings. He's closer than most of us think.
  9. That's right thanks. Point still stands though, DFA Beasley and Edwards and active them then. Chatwood then DFA'd once one of Merryweather/Borucki/Cole returns.
  10. 1st is Orelvis, but who's the 2nd? Either way, 2nd has an OPS 100 pts higher, nearly half the K's and more HRs in less ABs.
  11. Murphy and Hatch are on the 40-man so no need to clear space. And they clear space regardless by DFAing any of Edwards/Beasley/Chatwood. They probably keep Chatwood in hopes that Pete can figure him out. Edwards and Beasley have trash stuff though, so no need to keep them.
  12. I agree. The peripherals look really good for him. Today's performance makes them look even better too.
  13. Once he's healthy, I'd do one better and call-up Moreno at the same time, to take the pressure off his debut. In the meantime, we need BP help bad. Call-up Hatch, Murphy & Snead (who's dominating), and DFA Edwards and Beasley. Then hopefully 2 of that crew can provide some high leverage for us.
  14. Because they are overworked. It's dumb practice.
  15. A great point! It was the bottom of the order when Charlie yanked him.
  16. I may be wrong, but I thought some BA (or other major prospect publications) writers compared him to Adrian Beltre. That's a wunderkind type of player imo.
  17. I just can't believe Atkins can sit back and watch all of this. Listen, it's fine practice to look at the book and see that Strip usually gets shelled 3rd time through, but you need to have the common sense to realize your BP is s***, mostly because they are being overused and overexposed, and stop doing this s***. And if not, then Atkins, get off your ass and do something so the BP pieces Charlie will mishandle are at least, better quality.
  18. Orelvis Martinez had a 28.1 K% before this game, and proceeded to strike out 3 more times in 5 ABs. Maybe he's not the wunderkind prospect we were led to believe. All this said, he is 19 in Low A. So it's not too late to correct things.
  19. A few guys of note in AAA we could call-up: - Kirby Snead 12.83 K/9 2.70 BB/9 1.45 FIP 2.13 xFIP - Thomas Hatch - Patrick Murphy
  20. Yep. At this point, you can't really blame the puppet, only the puppet master who keeps doing the show with a failing puppet.
  21. This. That was strike 1. Stripling was at 80 pitches.
  22. Because it wasn't a save situation right Charlie...? Ughh..
  23. Not one to really overreact, but this. Montoyo's manager WAR, if recorded, must be the lowest in the majors. Win probability has legitimately been lowered with countless decisions he's made.
  24. DFA Chatwood, DFA Edwards, make a couple trades for a few reasonable relievers to plug holes and call up Murphy.
  25. I thought he had that weakness in 2019 and prior, bit I could be wrong. Definitely punching his ticket to AAA with each K.
