  1. Maybe you should rewatch it and look at Reese's glove before spewing this bumass reply.
  2. So Reese called that pitch and Richards hit his spot and got rewarded with a bomb. Thanks Reese.
  3. Offense needed those insurance runs and now their fate is sealed.
  4. Yeah, I'm super worried. Need a run or 2 in the top of the 9th.
  5. The way that fan looked at him after made me think the same lol.
  6. Wow! What kind of talent do you need to be to change your swing, mid-season, to compensate for an injury, and still stay afloat to the degree of a 128 wRC+ in your 1st professional season.
  7. Yeah, he seems to be puttering out while Groshans, meanwhile, is on tear.
  8. No strikeouts as well which is nice .
  9. As encouraging as the comp made me feel, 100% this. It's not normal to improve your approach while adjusting to increasing difficulty at higher levels of competition. Now we can look at someone like Teo, who's managed to improve his approach, but look how many ABs in the majors it took him to find that adjustment and make the peripheral stats back it up. And the above does not always happen, Teo is a rare case. Most players peripherals get worse at each level and stay worse.
  10. Thanks, was on my phone, so couldn't sort and cut as easy. So based on this, approach seems to be the same the past 2 months and this looks to be a hot streak. I worry that a promotion to A+ would lead to splits like below: 8-9 BB% 35-40 K% Hope I'm wrong, but that's a possibility if you look at how his peripherals lined up in Rookie ball compared to Dunedin.
  11. Interesting. I feel like a lot of fans have soured on Groshans a bit while not doing the same with Martin. If you look at their AA seasons, they are very similar while Groshans is about 4-5 months younger, and farther removed from professional ABs, with his injury costing him most of 2019. Martin, age 22, 122 wRC+, 13.1 BB%, 23.4 K% Groshans, age 21, 114 wRC+, 10.9 BB%, 21.3 K% With that in mind, my top 10 is probably like this: 1. Moreno 2. Martin (mostly because of pedigree and draft position) 3. Manoah 4. Groshans 5. Pearson 6. Martinez (K% not great but we'll see) 7. SWR (K/9 elite but BB/9 very bad) 8. Kirk 9. Hogland 10. Lopez
  12. Biggio is a good call. It would lessen our prospect capital greatly if he were in the offer. Biggio has a ton of value. Could easily be a 4 WAR + player in his current form because of the OBP & baserunning value alone. I would do that trade and then re-sign Semien in the OS, and grab a 1Y plug for 3B until one of Martin/Groshans forces their way to the majors to take the position. Then you trade 1 of Gurriel/Teo/Gallo for a large return, when whichever of Groshans/Martin transitions to the OF and hits their way up. We're in a really great place to be for sure.
  13. Happen to have the K rate & BB rate breakdown by month? Be cool to see if some of this is an approach adjustment, rather than hot streak.
  14. Thanks TL! Do you happen to have a membership? If not, maybe someone who does can post the list? I'm definitely interested! OT, but Fyter Fest Pt 1 was incredible!
  15. My ideal would be Dan & someone younger and more in tune with the target demo. I love Matt and Jack for the Raptors. I love the excitement and catchphrases. I want some of that in baseball. It would match the young superstars in the league.
  16. Not surprised at all with that, the players themselves didn't want to be at the NBA ASG so the ratings being like that makes sense. I wonder how this Home run Derby did vs other years though? I imagine 2019 was great because of Vladdy, but Shohei could have brought a ton of viewers to this one!
  17. He's still K'ing the world though which is great!
  18. ??? Are you drunk again?
  19. Yes it definitely is, but he's still very young for his level. Only 19. He's not striking out like Conine or Gallo, so I think he should be able to work on this in the OS.
  20. Wow! Walker Buehler mention caught my eye. That said if the velo ticks up, a high strikeout elite command guy sounds an awful lot like Bieber.
  21. Yeah, Vanderbilt is basically compared to a high level MLB development system, like the Jays. Adding Hogland to Vandy instead of Mississippi could have added 3-4 mphs so it's possible the Jays feel they can do the same thing for him. If he can sit 94-96 or 95-97, instead of 92-95, where he is now, then he becomes a front of the rotation type of starter with that command.
  22. Yeah, they may feel they can add velo to him. Jack Leiter started as a command guy and then added the velo at Vandy.
