  1. I could see this, very possible.
  2. Reality gem activated .
  3. He's 100% gone.
  4. There it is.
  5. It's over Gibby, have a big feeling about it.
  6. Fair points, thanks for laying that out. I still think Shapiro's guys do not "draft" better than Alex's, but perhaps the AA/AAA pitching development philosophy should become more saber friendly. I just hope we don't see the high ceiling/high risk scouting-based draft strategy change.
  7. Hey guys I have a strong feeling that the main "philosophical" difference was Shapiro wanted Alex to fire Gibby and Alex refused.
  8. This is my biggest worry; that their contributions go unnoticed and are replaced by "Shapiro" guys, who have proven to suck at drafting and development. I like the saber approach to pitching, with strikeouts being championed, but that shouldn't be used on raw high school/college draftees who don't even understand their own mechanics, let alone pitchability.
  9. Honestly lol, it seems like there's a higher power at play here.
  10. Absolutely awful, I blame Martin, terrible pitch calling.
  11. I'm telling you man, way too many fastballs, terrible pitch selection.
  12. It's why I really hope AA keeps Pompey over him. When Pompey doesn't get a hit, he still gets on base due to the walk. He had a +.400 OBP, with a 12% BB rate and a 13% K rate, from the time he was sent down to AA to the end of his AAA season.
  13. "Blowing out"? Hopefully the wind direction helps our offense, while Price keeps his groundball rate high.
  14. Selective memory applies because our team resides from a mysterious foreign land where American history and rules don't apply.. MadBum's performance last year will only be applied to this topic if it were an American team doing it.
  15. Hmmm well then he better get together with Price before hand and plan something different than what Price has been doing.
  16. Martin needs to flip the script with Price on Friday. Let Price use more changeups and curves instead of the heavy reliance on 4-seamers and cutters. Don't call a bad game please Martin, throw off their timing.
  17. I'd love to have Estrada back but would we be able to resign Navarro to make it worth it?
  18. The Mets may actually become the villains in the WS. Hopefully it's the Blue Jays, and not KC, that play the heroes.
  19. I don't even want to see Martin in Game 6 or 7, if it gets there, because of his awful "fastball dominant" game calling, but I digress..
  20. Yep, he either does it in the bullpen or in the game. As long as he doesn't exceed 25 pitches and can go Friday I'm cool with it.
  21. And a curve for good measure lol. I love Navy's calling, Martin could learn a thing or two.
