    Schneider is a fantastic manager, he really is. There's no way Montoyo would be smart enough to see Romano get to his throwing day pitch count and pull him. He would leave him there to throw 30 pitches.

    Not enjoying the way Jansen is game calling for Manoah so far, but good they're testing it out in the regular season.

    I mean, they were worried about the swing and miss and lack of OBP, which is fair. He's definitely very risky, and we won't call him up, regardless of the power, if he's hovering around the Mendoza line again in AA/AAA next season. He has a ton of work to do this offseason, but if he's able to right the ship for his BABIP and keep the power, he's going to shoot up the lists once again.

    With Berrios, I wonder if the Home/Road splits are as much about him being a creature of habit with sleeping in his own bed/working out at his own gym/eating at his usual spots/etc being very important to his state of mind? It's so weird, and I can't imagine what else the reason for the splits other than randomness could be.

    He's definitely improved on the Ks over the course of the season. He's under 30% now (28.5%), which is progress considering it was around 40% for a lot of the season. If he spends the offseason reducing his launch angle a bit to regulate his BABIP more and continuing to cut down on the swing and miss, he'll be special.

    Doesn't he have incredible defense and speed as well? He could be something if the K's stay down. He could actually be a 5 tools guy.

    I like 2B & 3B. I would have him work on those IF positions in the Offseason, and work on his launch angle and exit velos.
