    Totally agree. I wouldn't even be surprised if Pompey put up 3-4 WAR this season with great D and a 340+ OBP.

    Don't expect a non-fanboy answer. It's too bad Rogers doesn't use the cost method for consolidations instead of that revealing equity method.

    Honestly, Pompey has the best MiLB career OBP, and his approach could translate well as a MLB leadoff hitter. I'm partially convinced that Gibby doesn't like him very much.

Unless a magic Jacoby fix happens, and/or we receive a boat load of cash or a prospect, this can't be viewed as anything but a huge loss.

    This tweet makes me want to hurt someone. If anything we should be receiving a prospect. Bruce was worth -0.9 and 0.1 WAR the past two seasons and is owed 12.5M this season LOL.

    That would be hilarious if Bautista strong arms Rogers into signing Edwin and himself. I'm just happy he's trying to shield Atkins and Shapiro from all the blame. Bobcat will go off with this news lol.

    I like this, only I wouldn't start Stro in the home opener. With a heavy workload expected from everyone and only Dickey being counted on for 200+ IP, I would take every opportunity to give everyone else an extra day of rest.

    He is quoted saying 20 pounds of "muscle" in a couple videos on sportsnet, and Stroman even confirmed it. Tim and Sid then asked Sanchez and he confirmed once again. Whether he's telling the truth is another story.

    The problem is that he has a blister on his fingernail late in the season and couldn't throw sliders and changeups anymore/as effectively as before.     If his walk meets his talk, like it does with Stroman, I'd be fine with it. I'm happy he's at least acknowledging the poor OBP.
