    They're not as good against lefties that are able to keep the ball away from them. They mash the ball when it comes into them. I expected this to be a tough offensive day.

    Anderson looks like a reverse splits type of guy. I guess he's not given all the righties. Either way, this team seems to do better against straight heat guys as opposed to these crafty guys.

    Gausman really needs to give us innings tomorrow. Feels like it's going to be a grind until the All-Star break. That Yankees series really took a bite out of our bullpen.

    I do have to give the Angels credit, they are a tougher team to beat them you would think on first glance. I still expect them to fade but they got some interesting pieces.

    I don't think there's anyone suggesting that Little is not valuable. I don't disagree he's been overused. That's not Schneider's fault that's been mostly out of necessity. Hopefully once we get through this stretch usage rates will settle down. But I do think part of Little's problem is that the league has adjusted, he was able to get away with spiking the ball more before than he is now. He does have to be more competitive with his pitches.

    That's because they're not swinging as much as they used to, it was only a matter of time before the league started to figure him out. He needs to adjust. Bouncing the ball 5 ft in front of home plate is not going to work anymore.

    I think you're getting as much as you can reasonably expect to get out of the starters at this point including Gausman. I'm writing off this season for Santander. Doesn't sound like he's close, he'd be basically starting from scratch when he does come back. I'll expect nothing and be happy if we get anything. Gimenez is more important to me. Wouldn't even surprise me if there's an issue there that may require surgery because it's taking a long time to heal. Varsho will add some value.

    Little needs to throw more strikes to be considered a stud. A guy who constantly struggles to get three outs without getting his pitch count way up is not a stud. Big strikeout stuff but he's got to get his command under control.

    I think we have enough for one big fish. That's all I'm saying, I don't want to settle for a secondary fish and waste some of those assets. Go big or go with what you got. Because, again, we have good arms we need something more along the lines of great.

    I don't want to settle when it comes to a starting pitcher. We don't have many valuable assets to trade. I want a true blue ace or just hold on to our assets, take what we got plus Manoah and do what we can, maybe try again in the off-season. There's no point just adding another solid arm because we have plenty of solid arms as it is.

    The worst part about the last inning is all we did is pushed the bottom of our lineup to the 10th inning. Cuz we ain't getting s*** off of Jansen. While they have the top third of their order coming up.
