I can stand him hitting 9th if he's even close to league average. Because of his ability to steal bases he's actually not a bad bat to have down there to have ahead of the top of the order. The real question is can he get anywhere close to league average?

They're trying to figure out who their second lefty is going to be for the playoffs. They're going to need more than just Little. This is a rehearsal.

I don't buy this stuff about "messing up" a prospect by putting him in a pressure situation. What if he thrives? I believe the cream always rises. The ones who fail were always going to fail. I don't think you dismiss the possibility just "because". Especially when you don't have a lot of great options. -

We'd all love to have that problem. The bigger question is: What if he's perfectly healthy but doesn't get his groove back? Do you leave a bat like that off the postseason roster? Do you leave him out of the starting lineup?
