  1. Somebody set Cupertino ablaze please.
  2. There is literally no reason to have Kikuchi in this game. We have enough arms to get through without his useless ass. f***ing disgraceful decision.
  3. I need to see another season from Vladdy before ever considering paying him the kind of money it will take to lock him up. Not only am I not sure what version of him we are getting going forward, but he still hasn't shown the kind of commitment to his body that I would like to see. I would also at least explore what the trade market for him would look like.
  4. Richards seemed to be on a good run for a while. To the point where I thought he could be a decent mid-leverage playoff guy when we need a K. Looks like that's over now.
  5. Anybody think the Chargers +4 is a good pick? I'm inclined to take the Chiefs, I really like Herbert but I can't pick them here.
  6. I guess. I'm mostly just frustrated. I had a little bit of time off today to enjoy the game and it turned into a turd early.
  7. With their pen? It might as well be a 15 run game.
  8. Good throw kid. Also, f*** the Rays stealing there. Yes I'm old school and yes I would put one into Franco's ribs because I'm a dick.
  9. It's easy to say when Teo is having a down offensive year by his standards. His OF play is terrible, no defending that, but when he's on, he can carry this team offensively.
  10. Can't decide whose chicken sandwich I like more, Mary's or KFC. But I do love that macaroni salad at KFC(the ones that use the white sauce, not the ones that use that nasty sweet yellowish sauce), that tends to nudge me towards KFC.
  11. Too early to say yet. If Berrios shows us more Berrios the good down the stretch, you can make the case either way. It may come down to matchups though. If you are most concerned with a the opposition's LHH, Stripling could be the better choice and vice-versa (assuming Berrios continues to trend upwards).
  12. Let's hope he's a bit rusty and we can at least work the count on him.
  13. Just had to wave him around third didn't we?
  14. You could really see how today's lineup is designed with a focus on combating expected late inning bullpen moves from Tampa. Extra special effort to stagger lefty/righty through the bottom 6. 2 to 3 runs tops today and tomorrow from our offense I reckon. Stripper and Gaus are going to have to be near perfect.
  15. Adjusting your approach depending on the game situation is a thing that good hitters do though.
  16. Don't know if Pop has earned my trust to even do this right.
  17. Bo's gotta be smarter. Eat that ball, get the out at second.
  18. Don't know how long Bo can keep carrying this team. Other guys need to start stepping up. Vladdy especially.
  19. Great approach and AB by Bo. Wonderfully done!
  20. Rays just make it look easy against this predictable lineup. Once they have the lead in the middle innings, lights out for the sleepy birds.
  21. Decimated bullpen? What decimated bullpen? The Rays never have a decimated bullpen.
  22. You want to compare the Rays injuries vs the Jays injuries this season? The fact that these teams' records and run differentials is close is indicative of just how remarkably deep and resourceful the Rays are. If they can hang around while badly wounded, which they did, how much better will they be when they are healthy? Well, we're about to find out.
  23. We beat Baltimore because we caught their pitching in a bad state. We beat a Yankee and Red Sox team on a downswing, we've also swept an awful Pittsburgh team, barely, took two of three against a bad Cubs team, barely, and took two of three from a not very good Texas squad (the one game we lost is the one game we actually faced a quality pitcher). Even forgetting the Angels sweep, the bottom line is we've been winning games, great, mostly games we should win, that's what you have to do, but Tampa is a different animal. In the coming series we will face Jeffrey Springs, Drew Rasmussen, and likely Shane McClanahan. They'll probably manage to poop out a couple of other competitive pitching games because that's what they do. Especially against us. We are in trouble in this series, not just because, but because Tampa is a tough freaking matchup.
  24. With Tampa getting healthy, these nine games coming up against them are going to be bad, bad, bad. I think they win four of the five in this series. I wouldn't be shocked to see them win all five. It's not pessimism, it's realism.
