  1. Maybe by the time he's 27 and drafted to the major leagues, he'll get it done.
  2. Had to teach my nephew the idea of throwing to where a player will be and not where they necessarily are. My nephew is 6 years old.
  3. I have a feeling Kikuchi is always going to be one of those guys that's intriguing, close to being really good, but never quite gets there.
  4. I will expect .210, mid 20 home run, 200 strikeout Chapman and allow myself to be pleasantly surprised otherwise.
  5. Are you learning yet Montoyo? Know who your starting second baseman is.
  6. Montoyo is already killing me with this Biggio crap. This should not be a platoon.
  7. Yeah, I have no patience for this type of ********. I don't know what the Jays will do, but I won't blame them if they cut him loose. Astros probably watching this story closely.
  8. I haven't read through everything but just getting the lay of the land here....are we all okay with an Espinal/Biggio platoon at 2B? I personally am, I think that combo could return potentially solid value there, especially with a Biggio recovery, which I'm expecting, but a lot of people I know seem really intent on giving away anything the Jays got left and their first born son for Jose Ramirez. I'm not sure it's worth the price considering what we have.
  9. This thread is good for blowing off steam but we all know he's not going anywhere. He's got the built in excuse of playing home games in three cities blah blah blah, I've already heard the narrative in the aftermath. The weak-kneed media will give him a pass, management will give him a pass, and on we go.
  10. Let's all just be happy for ESPN and Major League baseball for getting their Yankees/Red Sox cream matchup. They will be treated to a 7 hour, 9 inning game on Tuesday.
  11. Agreed, at least have somebody keeping their arm loose doing some soft tosses right off the bat. It's no f***ing around time.
  12. I'm guessing that's the five-inning lineup, I'd be happy to be proven wrong but I can see him pulling starters eventually.
  13. I really wish our chances were better than garbage Washington kid against Chris Sale and Michael Wacha and a supporting cast of eventual backups versus the Yankees.
  14. Let's go Romano! Cimber already did the heavy lifting for you.
  15. And if he buries it as he meant to, then he swings over top of it. Missed location, probably because he was concerned about a wild pitch, simple as that, move on. Game is still there for the taking.
  16. Pitch obviously was not good enough, I wonder if he was a little bit gun shy throwing it down given that McGuire missed the last one.
  17. How do we use him? Pinch runner is obvious. If it came down to it, would we rather he have a key at bat or Dickerson? Cavan didn't exactly inspire confidence with his minor league rehab stats. Surely he can't see a minute on the field.
  18. f***ing Red Sox. We're not sweeping the Yankees a second time, going to be tough enough just to win the series and that might not even be enough. Even if we do sneak in it's probably a play in game and then the f***ing wild card game. f***ING RED SOX! One of the most stacked Blue Jays teams of all time and it was f***ing pissed away.
  19. We're still in excellent shape and should be favourites to take the second WC spot, what this series really did is basically confirm the game will be played at Fenway and not Rogers Centre. But now that this game is getting late and in blowout territory, will one of our scrub pitchers please plant one into Kiermaier's spine in his next AB, please and thank you!
