    So probably at least some of Kikuchi. Basically, if we don't have home advantage wrapped up by that game, it's going to come down to getting help from out of town.

    Rays' pitching going into the postseason is terrifying.

    I wouldn't be too sure about that. What's more important, maybe securing home advantage or having Manoah available to pitch in the WC round? Because it's an either/or decision unless you want to force Manoah to pitch on 3 days rest, assuming we even make the third game of the WC. I don't think Manoah pitches that game in Baltimore no matter what.

    Yay, I guess. Obviously I'm happy that we're going to the dance, just wish we were better positioned with our pitching staff to actually feel like we had a chance at the world series. We realistically don't. But it will be fun, I hope we end up getting home games one way or another. Playoffs are far from guaranteed going forward in this meat grinder of a division.

    Well, he battled him. Should've tried down and in with the fastball at least once. Went to the well too often outside and finally missed. The real problem was the leadoff hit, if there is nobody on first, Judge walks. Oh well, Judge is on fire right now, what can you do.

    I was just thinking that Moreno is pretty fast, Zimmer is obviously faster but he's so incredibly one-dimensional. Also we haven't seen him steal much this year, fast doesn't always mean you're a great base stealer. We have Bradley as a premium defensive outfielder who's also fairly one dimensional but not even as bad as Zimmer. Moreno can hit, at the very least he can put the bat on the ball and move guys over, hit and run with and it gives us a bit more flexibility considering we will probably be using both Jansen and Kirk in our starting lineup.

    What drills do these players need to do not to be stupid? These guys just do dumb s***, s*** that beyond the age of seven you should understand not to do. They should be embarrassed as professionals. Does Schneider have to teach them how to wipe after they poop also?

    Exactly! There were times during the season I felt players should have been pulled in the middle of games to embarrass them for some of the stupid mistakes they make, but we baby them instead and then we expect them to change? You can't change them now that it "really matters". We've allowed these things to become habitual.

    Bo let up slightly because he knew the outfielders were coming. I completely understand him not wanting to go all out with an outfielder potentially coming in directly in line with him hard. That's the kind of play where someone could get damn near decapitated.
