  1. I don't intend on ever seeing the replay of that. I changed the channel before it cleared the fence so I still haven't really seen it lol
  2. Stop being such a doom poster
  3. I'll give him 61, if we get the game.
  4. Well, he battled him. Should've tried down and in with the fastball at least once. Went to the well too often outside and finally missed. The real problem was the leadoff hit, if there is nobody on first, Judge walks. Oh well, Judge is on fire right now, what can you do.
  5. Cole's a pretty good reason alone though.
  6. I was just thinking that Moreno is pretty fast, Zimmer is obviously faster but he's so incredibly one-dimensional. Also we haven't seen him steal much this year, fast doesn't always mean you're a great base stealer. We have Bradley as a premium defensive outfielder who's also fairly one dimensional but not even as bad as Zimmer. Moreno can hit, at the very least he can put the bat on the ball and move guys over, hit and run with and it gives us a bit more flexibility considering we will probably be using both Jansen and Kirk in our starting lineup.
  7. Zimmer or Moreno on the post season roster?
  8. What drills do these players need to do not to be stupid? These guys just do dumb s***, s*** that beyond the age of seven you should understand not to do. They should be embarrassed as professionals. Does Schneider have to teach them how to wipe after they poop also?
  9. Exactly! There were times during the season I felt players should have been pulled in the middle of games to embarrass them for some of the stupid mistakes they make, but we baby them instead and then we expect them to change? You can't change them now that it "really matters". We've allowed these things to become habitual.
  10. It's inconceivable to be that stupid. Inconceivable.
  11. This game is Chinese water torture
  12. Bo let up slightly because he knew the outfielders were coming. I completely understand him not wanting to go all out with an outfielder potentially coming in directly in line with him hard. That's the kind of play where someone could get damn near decapitated.
  13. Credit to Berrios for not completely falling apart after the s*** show behind him.
  14. Finally Vladdy. Something clutch!
  15. Irrelevant. I don't want to wait for a moment where it does cost us.
  16. Sucks we didn't get more, but credit good pitching. Nice hit by Teo, the ******** pimping afterwards is unacceptable. Loser type s***.
  17. I think a lack of quality depth is important because it further exposes the bullpen. Also from what I understand there are fewer off days in this year's postseason which puts further stress on depth, which is bad for us. There are a couple of unknowns to consider, what is Tyler Glasnow going to be? How does Nate Pearson fit in? It remains to be seen but I do think if you have to make an objective argument for the American League teams we're the most vulnerable with our pitching.
  18. When you factor in the injury returns and acquisitions I think my point is well made. We're top heavy with Manoah and Gausman. We have a number three pitcher who they probably won't let pitch more than four to five innings and a number four pitcher who is Jekyll and Hyde with a mediocre bullpen that doesn't have a lot of swing and miss stuff. And by the way, I'm not counting Baltimore.
  19. I think it's a bit much to jump the gun on the Merrifield love. Espinal had himself been hitting better before the injury and he has very good at bats, is reliable to hit and run with, is obviously an excellent defender. I don't dislike Whit, and I knew he had more in him than what he had shown, I think there was an adjustment period for him. He can still be valuable, but I'm not willing to jump head first on him just yet. By the way, is there anybody on this team that can bunt? Can Whit? Like, I don't expect to do it often, but there will be one or two times that it could be the difference between winning and losing in a tight playoff game and even our s*** hitters apparently can't do it to save their lives.
  20. No American League playoff team has a worse pitching situation than we do. Our offense has to be red hot and we need Manoah and Gausman to have pretty much no slip-ups and our pen to manage to go on a hot streak at the right time.
  21. Tampa is a terrible matchup is a hot take? I'm thrilled we managed to go 5-4. But they are still our worst matchup in the first round if it comes to it. I'd much rather take my chances with Seattle or Cleveland.
  22. Shocking loss. Really wish we had just a bit more breathing room on them. As it stands, I can't imagine they will continue to s*** all over themselves against these garbage teams, especially at home. Our schedule and the tiebreaker makes it tough to hold on.
  23. I'll be happy to hear your rebuttal. They are clearly a terrible matchup for us. What part of this are you not watching?
  24. The Rays are the worst possible matchup for us in the American League. We were lucky to win three of five in Toronto, and probably only because we were lucky to have Manoah pitch the second game of the DL and not the first. But it'll be a chore to win one at the trop.
  25. Well there's nothing we can do about this team that we have. We have two mostly very good starters, a third pretty good starter but not a big stuff guy, a guy with better raw stuff but gets hit hard too often and a bullpen with not enough swing and miss stuff. Is it good enough to win a championship? If everything goes right and everybody gets hot at the right time, perhaps. Talent-wise it shouldn't be on pitching alone. The lack of big bullpen arms was predictable and the lack of rotation depth was also predictable so I can and will blame management for that. Management should have one more off season to get this right.
