  1. Yeah I was definitely wrong about Belt. I didn't hate the signing, because it was ultimately low risk, I just didn't think it would pay off. I thought he was probably done. It's paying off and he ain't done.
  2. This Gausman guy has a chance to be pretty good
  3. No alternative. Get Pearson extended and switch him with Manoah. f*** it, It's not ideal but it's something. Maybe Manoah will be better in the bullpen for now and maybe Pearson will finally fulfill his potential as a starter. We literally have no options right now.
  4. We need the not-so-fat-anymore Korean to come back strong from injury or we're f***ed...as I watch Manoah falling apart again🤦
  5. I didn't forget about them, I knew they would be awful. They were.
  6. White was already terrible, he's part of the reason why we struggled so much to find depth last year because he didn't get it done. Maybe he could have found something this year, he was a little bit intriguing, but to count on that? We didn't really have anyone that we necessarily expected to take a step in Buffalo, we were just hoping. The plan was just a wing and a prayer. That's not a very good plan. This failure goes beyond just this recent offseason, it's an organizational failure that we don't even have depth that we can turn to, let alone a front line prospect, that we trust to even give us five competitive innings. Other contenders have figured out a way, it has to be better. How can we count ourselves a contender and leave ourselves this vulnerable? Manoah can s*** the bed for another 5 starts and we have no choice but to ride him out. God help us if anyone gets hurt.
  7. I can't believe we honestly came into this season without a real f***ing plan for our rotation depth. It was such a massive problem down the stretch last year and the idiots in the front office did nothing about it.
  8. Calm your tits. This is not thread worthy.
  9. On this team he's still would be. He's a good relief pitcher I think, I don't look at him as elite though. Got to prove it for a lot more than a couple of weeks before you can be considered elite.
  10. Home runs continue to be a problem. Should have been three for the game, lucky it's only two.
  11. Kikuchi has really been as mediocre as he was last year. He's just mediocre in a slightly different way. Fewer strikeouts, fewer walks but more home runs.
  12. I think I was wrong about Brandon Belt. Happy to be wrong, hope he keeps it up.
  13. I have anger management issues when it comes to rain delays.
  14. We didn't need lefties to mash righties last year. I don't really care about lefty-righty nonsense, I care about our best hitters getting the most at bats.
  15. I was noticing that also. Maybe it's purely happenstance given that Gausman is one of the only pitchers that puts it is in a position to win constantly.
  16. Didn't take long for somebody to jump waaaay ahead of themselves.
  17. It's getting dark, too dark to see...
  18. This is a terrible thread. I don't want to hear about any injuries to Manoah.
  19. I hated the Varsho trade when it happened, I'm certainly not loving it anymore now. I don't hate Varsho as a player, I f***ing hate what we traded to get him. Felt like a mistake from day one. I always hoped I'd be wrong on that one, still hope I will be, my gut tells me I won't be.
  20. Not much going on in the GDT today. Hope is fading fast isn't it? We'll always have the 20-1 game. American League looks to be tougher this year, outside of the pathetic Central as always. I think that was predictable. For a team that doesn't appear to have gotten much better, and may end up being worse than last year, this is going to be an uphill battle.
