  1. On this team he's still would be. He's a good relief pitcher I think, I don't look at him as elite though. Got to prove it for a lot more than a couple of weeks before you can be considered elite.
  2. Home runs continue to be a problem. Should have been three for the game, lucky it's only two.
  3. Kikuchi has really been as mediocre as he was last year. He's just mediocre in a slightly different way. Fewer strikeouts, fewer walks but more home runs.
  4. I think I was wrong about Brandon Belt. Happy to be wrong, hope he keeps it up.
  5. I have anger management issues when it comes to rain delays.
  6. We didn't need lefties to mash righties last year. I don't really care about lefty-righty nonsense, I care about our best hitters getting the most at bats.
  7. I was noticing that also. Maybe it's purely happenstance given that Gausman is one of the only pitchers that puts it is in a position to win constantly.
  8. Didn't take long for somebody to jump waaaay ahead of themselves.
  9. It's getting dark, too dark to see...
  10. This is a terrible thread. I don't want to hear about any injuries to Manoah.
  11. I hated the Varsho trade when it happened, I'm certainly not loving it anymore now. I don't hate Varsho as a player, I f***ing hate what we traded to get him. Felt like a mistake from day one. I always hoped I'd be wrong on that one, still hope I will be, my gut tells me I won't be.
  12. Not much going on in the GDT today. Hope is fading fast isn't it? We'll always have the 20-1 game. American League looks to be tougher this year, outside of the pathetic Central as always. I think that was predictable. For a team that doesn't appear to have gotten much better, and may end up being worse than last year, this is going to be an uphill battle.
  13. So are people finally done riding the nuts of the front office and willing to acknowledge, as some of us always knew, they failed to take this team to another level in the off season? Bullpen still only okay, no starting pitching depth (even though this hasn't come back to really haunt us, yet), downgraded offense. Traded our top prospect for Daulton f***ing Varsho (although I'm sure people aren't done riding Varsho's nuts yet). Or do you require more evidence because I assure you it's coming with this schedule.
  14. Indeed, the flaws that were obvious about this team to those without rose tinted glasses are coming home to roost , especially against the AL East.
  15. No they think batting average is meaningless. Because they're f***ing idiots.
