None of those scenarios is likely because I don't think any of those teams win the rest. I do understand these were the worst case scenarios. I think the number is probably 88 or 89 wins if the tiebreaker is an issue, which it could be for us. I think if we go 6-6, we're safe. 5-7 it might get sticky. It will be tough. Tampa still has something to play for, and believe it or not, I think the Yankees believe they're still alive, given that they play us six times and that Texas and Seattle play seven times, that gives them hope even if it's statistically unrealistic. I think they will play us as if their season is on the line.

Who did Ryan Braun fool? Honestly when he tried to throw the urine collector under the bus I immediately thought he was the biggest piece of s*** I've ever seen. I think it's possible that there could be problems with the testing methods. s*** happens. I don't know enough either way.

The Texas sweep was never the death of us, however I do think we needed to win at least one of those games, when it's all said and done, not winning one might be what kills us. I think the last couple of weeks are going to be a matter of who stumbles worse: Jays or Mariners.

Pretty crazy that out of 12 favourable outcomes this weekend, 11 of them worked out for us, including a game in which the Dodgers basically tried handing it away. Offense is still a problem, it may be as cold as it's been all season. Shouldn't take a lot to beat the Yankees but their pitching is going to make it tough to score with this offense. Seattle is, as I figured they would be before September began, still the most vulnerable team in my opinion. I think Astros and Rangers are too good to fail ultimately.

The Texas series was never the death of us, the problem is if we need 89 wins we're probably not going to get there, I think 88 is our max with the schedule we have left and the pitching matchups versus the Yankees. If I were to pick a number now I would say 87 is where we finish.

I wouldn't define his season as dominant, unless you consider guys like Garcia and Swanson dominant. Very good season though and what we all knew he could do when healthy, but he struggled to stay healthy.

Why? For a year and a half he was declining. Suddenly he's supposed to not? Sure this season was worse than last year, but not by miles. Not by an amount that substantially changes the fact that this team is underwhelming. I'm not suggesting it might not have happened, he might have gone back to superstar status, but he showed nothing by the end of last year to suggest that would happen. It was just hope, nothing more.

Get the f*** out of here with that s***. 8 years of ********. Guerrero had been trending downward since the first half of 2021. He's having a worse season than anticipated but not by much, at least not relative to what I expected and what anyone else should expected based on how he's been trending. Varsho has always carried a limp noodle for a bat. Chapman isn't even that far off from what he's been for the past couple of years overall. How about the incredible luck we got in our rotation considering that our backup plan to start the season was f***ing Mitch White? We weren't punished nearly as much as we should have been for that horrible planning. Our season should have been over before the all-star break. The bottom line is we sit here with one elite pitcher on our major league roster. Zero elite hitters. No homegrown starting pitchers, except for the fat one in the minors who's being a bitch. Speaking of which, how about the incredibly low bar set by the leadership of this organization? The one that allows fat players to continue being fat and the one that allows players to repeat the same mistakes without consequence? The one that's allowing the fat pitcher to walk all over them right now. Entitlement all over the place. That starts at the top. AA could have and should have still been here. He smelled the horseshit from a mile away.
