    It got in the lights, s*** happens. We were eliminated from the wild card because Marcus Semien couldn't make the most routine play in baseball. ******** happens sometimes.

    I have no problem with them spending, especially since they had young talent on the rise clearly. Don't know if it's great for baseball. They're still f***ed this year because of their pitching anyhow, but I don't really care about them either way I'm just happy they came through for us today!

    How long until a professional athlete gets murdered because of gambling? I hope not, I hope it doesn't come to that but people become desperate and crazy.

    It's fun, in moderation, could make an interesting game out of an otherwise uninteresting game. I'm a fan of the NFL because of my gambling on it in high school. I started watching because of the gambling and just became a fan. I never got sucked into addiction though. I can't even imagine young people today having the ability to click a button at any moment and bet on any aspect of the game at any part of the game on multiple games live. Especially if you just blew a bet and you want to try to get it back quickly. Impulsiveness and accessibility. The death spiral begins. We're in some dangerous times.

    It is indeed the greatest era for creating degenerate gamblers. Especially now that sports leagues are openly welcoming gambling culture. Doubling the suicide rate will be a breeze.

    Heim is something else with runners in scoring position. His ability to waste pitchers pitches is rare.

    Guys like him, big power, big breaking ball, big strikeout relievers, they just don't last very long. Eventually something goes pop.

    Yeah, dude is made of glass, I like him, it's still been a good signing, but he's made of glass.

    Maybe, that's going to happen sometimes especially in the playoffs when you run through arms like it's nobody's business. This was basically managed like a playoff game. I think the main point is, you can never have enough great arms. Never heard a manager ever complain about having too many great pitchers. He didn't really want to try to pitch Richards there, he just had to.

    Well if you do die, you will be missed, you're one of the few on here that actually understands what's really going on.

    Yeah, no doubt, he also had a lot less money to work with, he probably wasn't as bad at GM as he's remembered as but I did not enjoy his era of baseball.

    It's always possible, any baseball game has a potential for weirdness, but it would really be against all odds. Texas does have a great offense though so if they can somehow get Castile off his game, maybe they can just outslug the Mariners.

    Relative to some people's expectations perhaps, but if you live survived the JP Ricciardi era, you could survive a damn nuclear apocalypse.

    If only we had another pitcher instead of Richards to throw out there. Maybe if we had another stud pitcher we could have pushed back our leverage guys another inning. I've been told we have "enough" pitching though, thank goodness we're not overloading all this goodness with more greatness.

    Well it's time to panic from the standpoint of perhaps having to use Gausman, It's better than a 50/50 chance given Castillo going against that crappy bullpen. That also completely changes what we can do in the postseason if we get there. So it's kind of panicky mode.

    Have you seen the pitching matchups? I mean it's not impossible but it's highly unlikely Texas wins either game. Seattle is the heavy favourite in both. Texas has run out of pitchers
