  1. It's rough man. Watching baseball that is already this difficult to watch and knowing the rebuild hasn't even begun yet. Some tough times ahead for the foreseeable future.
  2. I would think bringing up Horwitz is part of NOT waving the white flag. The point is he can't possibly be worse than what they are rolling out there everyday. Barger too.
  3. Poor Spencer Horwitz. They hate him so much.
  4. Nah, Stanley Cup playoffs officially ended several weeks ago.
  5. People confuse warm bodies with actual depth. I complained about it all of last year but we were lucky that it never came back to bite us especially since Ryu was ready when Manoah was finally giving up on for the season. I complained about it again at the beginning of this year only to be given names of worthless pitchers that we all knew would have amounted to nothing. So here we are.
  6. It's a good thing he focuses on fighting in the off-season instead of being a better baseball player in his final years so that a team less s***** than the White Sox might want him.
  7. One way ticket to the Titanic. Cue Celine.
  8. I was saying this plenty at the beginning of the season but nobody seemed to care so whatever. I was thinking more so about Belt over Vogelf***, but still
  9. Abandon ship! All hands abandon ship!
  10. O's gonna put us in our place.
  11. I don't care what anybody says, we haven't had a ride or die ace since the late great Roy Halladay. I would trust that guy to go to battle against any lineup in any ballpark in the history of baseball.
  12. Gausman the Christmas tree.
  13. O's can be back to back World Series champions and they won't draw unless they have somebody like Ohtani.
  14. f***ing hate seeing people suffer like that. She's fairly young too. Completely sucks.
  15. Listen we can agree to disagree all day but the bottom line is this: You want to bet that this f***ing limp noodle team that has been a limp noodle for going on 2 years, will not only will somehow fight off more talented teams for what will likely only be one available playoff spot, but will go on some miraculous run and beat teams that are clearly more talented than them to win a World Series. Meanwhile the opportunity to get some much needed young assets gets pissed away because we're hoping to take lumps of coal and fart out diamonds. You have to play the odds, the mistake too many organizations make is they hold on too long for a window that's passed them by. If we don't start making moves this season we're holding on too long. None of this might matter, we might well be taken right out of the picture in the coming weeks, but if we somehow stick around, you will get your wish and this team's front office will s*** away our future in favour of continued mediocrity.
  16. The fact that you can't see that Arizona was clearly more talented I can't help you with, but putting Arizona aside, you're so focused on the win/loss record that you are losing sight of the more important point: it's about talent, frontline real deal talent. Who cares what our record is at the All-Star break? We don't have the talent and there's a real opportunity cost of chasing a worthless wild card spot and not getting assets that we desperately need. The 2021 Blue Jays were a great example of a team that should have done everything they can to chase that playoff spot because they had a f***load of talent, but this isn't that, I don't care what the record is, we can't get sucked in. Don't worry though, you'll get your wish if we are anywhere close because this front office will sell out our future to save their ass no matter how obvious it is that this team ain't good enough.
  17. The D-Backs weren't special, but they were clearly better than us and clearly better equipped to go on a run and they did. You continue to ignore the opportunity cost of a pointless wild card run. You aren't being realistic about this teams chances, and unfortunately, the front office doesn't appear to be either.
  18. What part of this team isn't good enough don't you understand? What is the point of sneaking into the third wild card, which is unlikely for this team anyway, if the team can't beat anyone good? It's not worth the opportunity cost of getting some much needed assets.
  19. I'm not sure Turner is worth it.
  20. Maybe all he needed was a chance
