Realistically every team in baseball has to go through cycles. Certain teams have to do it more and we're one of those teams. This is about asset management and hoping that significant talent lines up for one really strong window, like in 2015 and '16 and then again in 2021. Those were windows of opportunity where the talent seemed to line up, in the case of '21 the front office didn't do enough early enough to fix the bullpen. This current roster is a complete Frankenstein stuck in mediocrity, that's the worst place to be.
