  1. Also option Borucki for Snead for a little extra roster abuse.
  2. It might be time for the Ray's front office to call for a pitching change.
  3. We played right into the Rays hands by swinging at every single pitch through 2 innings. Valera the only batter with a good approach.
  4. Yankees better hope Stanton doesn't rattle easily. These are the moments that can mentally shatter an athlete for years.
  5. Also Danny Jansen is a better hitter than Randal Grichuk.
  6. Donaldson would've pointed to his meat on national television and told him what to do with it.
  7. Not only did we sweep the series, the absolutely back clapped their bullpen for their next series. I don't know who's available other than Chapman.
  8. Remember when people wanted Pearson over Romano in a save situation?
  9. Pearson's mechanics are off and his stuff is still filthy. If he ever learns to throw strikes and not be injured all the time he's gonna be scary.
  10. We're playing against the worst team in baseball next series. Use your good pitchers now.
  11. If Romano's arm isn't falling off you put him in the 9th. The Yankees are praying for a wild pitcher like Pearson with a 1-run lead.
  12. Now you bring in Mayza for a clean inning to face the two lefties.
  13. We should've traded Ray and Semien to build up depth for our 2024 wildcard run. Now all we get is compensation picks. This front office just doesn't get it.
  14. Great throw by Renfroe, absolute brain damage level baserunning by Wendell.
  15. Bringing in Pearson when Romano's warmed up would have been Showalter level stupid.
  16. Hopefully Luetge emptied the tank. Watching him pitch is what's wrong with baseball.
  17. Honestly I think everyone except maybe Mayza should be available with a lead. I'm a little more worried about the bullpen composition if a starter gets knocked out early. Our long man right now is Saucedo. It's probably time to option Smith or DFA Valera for more flexibility. We have like three guys covering 3B and they all suck.
  18. Jeter is both a deserving Hall of Famer and probably the most overrated player in baseball history. This includes people like Jack Morris and Harold Baines. He bullied a Gold Glove 40-40 shortstop with a batting title to third base. When he went on his self indulgent retirement jerk-off tour, people were honestly debating whether he was the greatest Yankee of all time. With the way the New York media constantly finger popped his ******* I'm only surprised that he didn't win more Gold Gloves and MVPs.
  19. Charlie pulled Ryu after 80 pitches to avoid giving Judge a third look. Matz will be long gone.
  20. Montoyo is the type of strategist to start one or both of McGuire and Dyson against a lefthander. Hopefully Dyson was released to complete the roster move.
  21. Lindor is better than Hosmer at every single aspect of baseball. The Hosmer deal was uniquely stupid.
  22. At AAA you have precise control over how many days rest he gets between outings and how many pitches he throws per outing because the games don't matter. You don't have that flexibility when you're trying to win games. This is to say nothing of the fact that he still hasn't proven that he can throw strikes consistently at AAA. Make him earn a spot.
  23. Accounting for age, track record, and tools, it's something like Soto, Guerrero, Ohtani, and Olson. Soto was destroying MLB pitching when Guerrero was destroying AA or struggling in the big leagues. And Trout stands above them all when healthy. Guerrero still has the most raw hitting talent of all those players, including Trout. His absolute ceiling is basically Stanton + Cabrera on steroids.
  24. Bellinger's swing is so insanely complicated I'm honestly not surprised he goes through such extended slumps. Vlad's floor is a fat decent hitter with no defensive or baserunning value. Bellinger's floor is zombie Chris Davis with more defensive value. Based on swing mechanics, the player actually more likely to implode completely is Bichette. However, he's passed every test at the plate thus far in his career so I might be worrying for nothing.
