  1. I guess it depends on who you started instead. I see Martin having a 1-3 with an RBI and BB. Yes I am psycho...er I mean psychic.
  2. I blame Justin Trudeau
  3. As I said...the CIA's backyard. The permanent paranoia associated with that, seems to have washed into the fan base. We all know high end hotels don't have their own high tech surveillance. The Blue Jays clearly are interested in what opposing team ball players are doing at their hotels. Just because you spy on the entire population, including all your own citizens, doesn't mean the rest of the world could be bothered to.
  4. Hey Calrip, I thanked you than removed it. Kind of like the hope your ball team gives you, than takes from you every year.
  5. Hmm seems the urban dictionary struck a nerve....the gunshots you hear every night fraying your nerves?? Just think at least your city is nice and close to Langley...I hear the CIA is doing some great things for the world in general and humanity as a whole. So your telling me that if we manage to beat the Yankees for the division, I get the personal satisfaction of beating the Yankees and pissing you off? f*** yeah, it doesn't get any better than that. An Orioles fan cheering for the Yankees...too rich! Cheer hard, you should be used to disappointment if you've lived in Baltimore for any period of time!
  6. He feels the need to be involved in a pennant race somehow. Let him fulfil his need to belong and not be a loser. Congratulations what was supposed to be your best pitcher, beat our fifth starter. Yes he will eat some orange bird this weekend.
  7. Funniest thing I heard in a while. Jerry Howarth said "the ball hit by Pillar died of exhaustion"
  8. No reality is they won, lucky or not. It's going to be a battle over the next 30 days.
  9. Tepera pitching, because he's pitched pretty well this year. I think some people enjoy it more when we lose, so they can bitch, than they do when we win.
  10. I think rural Canada is full of baseball fans. I think you are going to see our Country captivated by this team. It's going to be something special to experience.
  11. After tonight's performance, I think this become's a legitimate consideration. Six quality starter's is a problem we need to have if we want to have a good run at the World Series. I think I increasingly like the idea of piggybacking pitchers, in this scenario.
  12. Ugh, most of you weren't around in 1987.
  13. Fields would have to be added to the 40 man, so someone would have to be designated.
  14. Forgot the obvious...Marcus Stroman. Relievers Ben Rowan and Ryan Tepera, I would guess.
  15. Joe Maddon, Bruce Bochy, Joe Girardi, AJ Hinch, Clint Hurdle
  16. Wow went straight to ridiculous, I'm sensing sarcasm. I'm pretty content with the way things are. He has next year already guaranteed. I also believe, there is a certain date that a year is added if he's still manager, so it's never a lame duck situation. I think John Gibbons is okay, he's not terrible, he's not the best manager ever. The player's seem to like him, and they are having some success. He seems able to make in game/in season adjustments alright. The point of the crickets comment, I think, was that the month of August made it really, really difficult to keep this thread going, without seeming borderline retarded.
  17. Lol, a question concerning John Gibbons now is..."How many votes will he get for manager of the year?" I've heard talk for him and Jeff Bannister, though my choice would be AJ Hinch.
  18. Thoughts and prayers to all those in the DR..I hope Ang and your family and friends are okay.
  19. Yoda would be displeased with this mangle of his quote.
  20. I spent hours looking through the Sears Wishbook! Good memories, we had three-four channels if we were lucky. Had to listen to the Jays game on the radio! Still prefer to listen on the radio. I guess I'm old, though 35 is the new 25. At least that's what 35 year old people say.
