    There is absolutely an advantage that would skew advanced metrics...by knowing what pitch is coming. How much, is likely impossible to ever know.

    Does anyone know what most player's not playing, especially pitcher's not pitching spend most of the game, on the bench, shuffling back and forth from the bullpen, are doing?

    Oh my God. Teams use whatever tool they can to pick signs from other teams. Pitchers use whatever substance they can to get a better grip on the ball. I'm sorry to say, but for anyone who has played baseball, this is not news. This IS what wins Championships. I want a pitcher who throws 100mph, to have a substance on his fingers to get better grip, in a continual light rain. The only thing ridiculous is the fact that they were banging a trash can. The part that made it wrong was the use of the instant replay system. Does anyone ever wonder why the Patriots continually win Championships, and also continually get busted for taping other teams practice?

    My son is five, and I also find its easier to have them play something that doesn't involve as much sitting around. Baseball seems to have a little too much sitting around, or not being involved for kids that age. Soccer at that age, they can always be doing something, even if it is chasing a ball that comes near their field from another field.

    Good luck with that. My fiancee calls fantasy baseball, "fake baseball" and gets upset when I "waste time" with it. Good thing I only have 9 teams this year.

    My family took a Great Canadian Tour down there, the last year old Yankee Stadium was around. It was an awesome trip. We went to Rockefeller Centre, Times Square, and got a full tour of Lower Manhattan. We went to the World Trade Centre site as well. Hearing the guide tell the story of that day, from a local perspective, was surreal. Just sitting there and looking where the Towers sat, and remembering that day, will stay with me forever. Its incredible, that Tuesday was a local election day, and also the first day of school. There were A LOT of people that were very fortunate, to not be there when it happened. I know someone from Stratford, who worked in them.....He slept in that day, and was late for work, and it probably saved his life.
