  1. I don't think he uses it to focus better on Buck Showalter's pre-game pep talks.
  2. Its a stimulant used to treat ADD and ADHD. Its an amphetamine. I think it is used basically as legal speed. I think it would help you turn on a fastball. I think it would improve your hand eye coordination ever so slightly. (The difference between missing a pitch by a fraction of an inch: deep fly balls become home runs) I think if you had trouble paying attention in class they would feed it to you to help you "pay attention" and quit being a distraction. I think the year you didn't get your exemption to take it you would have an ISO of 0.209,and than take it anyway because you saw the difference it made, so you got suspended. I think the year before that and the year after that when you took it your ISO would be 50 percent more (>0.3). I think there is no such thing as legit ADHD. I think every intelligent person could be diagnosed with ADHD.
  3. This sounds very unfortunate!
  4. At least he's in the AFL, so 10 games will count this year. Pretty sad that Chris Davis can get Adderall prescribed to "focus". Yet smoking weed ends up costing someone 50 games. It is his second positive I guess. Eventually hopefully pro sports and America/Canada in general re-assess their modern day prohibition.
  5. Ick. I don't like reading news like this. Ismael Cruz sounds like he would be good at International Scouting...what's the story on him?
  6. Kazmir and Madson. No Kuma, I want our draft pick.
  7. Sorry Adam Lind's Mom, its looking like Adam may be looking for work. That or the White Sox or Twins. Maybe the White Sox. Not the White Sox, their eliminated. Lol
  8. Do you think he's still able to speak Canadian after all his years in 'Murica?
  9. I'd prefer Justin Mourneau as a buy low option. Catching the ball is a relatively important part of first base. You have the wrong Alvarez as the buy low option. Hopefully Marlins Non-Tender Henderson.
  10. I hope the Marlins Non-Tender Henderson Alvarez, and we take a flyer on him.
  11. He's a Pirate....arrrr!
  12. I really wish that was true. I think Corbin and Teheran would take a very good package of prospects. Especially Teheran.
  13. Okay BurlingtonBandit aka Rick Westhead. I'm going to wait to hear from someone who works for the Toronto Blue Jays to believe what their budget is. My sources tell me to "Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see".
  14. Both him and Delgado would be. I think reports of Stewart being full on retarded, especially with LaRussa really running the show, are overblown though. Arizona actually has some intriguing pitching prospects as well.
  15. Are you sure about that. Shi Davidi broke AA's departure. Rick Westhead or some s*** reported 140 million. Shi Davidi broke news that was imminent and occuring that day. Rick Westhead threw a number out there.
  16. Okay I'll bite...which 3 are easily attainable?
  17. http://mlb.mlb.com/milb/stats/org.jsp?id=tor All of our Winter League Stats. You will probably find some information in the Prospects thread as well.
  18. Heyward would be the one player I could see spending the money on for another position player.
  19. They pulled Brad Fay out of dry dock? I thought he was on assignment in Siberia.
  20. Yes that seems like a brilliant idea. Move Tulo, give Goins the SS job, than use money that was going to Tulo to Chris Davis. If that actually happens, I will stop being a Jays fan after 36 years and become an Orioles fan...and eat my own eyeball.
  21. I would 10/10 times rather sign Mourneau to a one year buy low contract, than throw 7/150 million at Chris Davis. Then spend the rest of our budget on pitching.
  22. I disagree. If everyone on this chart has to be added or exposed to the Rule 5, I would argue it would make sense to add at least 3 or 4 (Robson, Dragmire, Guerrero) along with Smith. It appears we have 8 roster spots on the 40. We will likely sign two starters and two relievers. Which would make me think you would use those other four spots. Am I missing something?
  23. That did not come out right. I am not suggesting AA is somehow still a part of the decision making process in the background. Also I believe LaCava is very capable to do this job without Alex's input. I just think they are close friends and will likely have some discussion. Alex does not like to talk about his personal life I don't think. Any personal reason's are his. I don't think it's the reason he did not extend, I think it's the reason there is no back door deal to run the Marlins. He said there was no other job planned. That's the truth.
  24. This is why LaCava keeps pointing out how happy AA is. Honestly I would not be surprised in the least, if AA has a shadow part of this teams off-season. LaCava and him are going to continue to talk. I think this entire forum is completely wrong about what happened, and am glad the conversation has changed.
  25. Take Chen off my list, he was qualified. I would rather eat my own eye ball than give a draft pick to Baltimore.
