There are certain States where there is a definite income tax saving advantage. There are also different tax rates in each province. It most definitely is not like it used to be though. Arizona is notably one of the lowest, along with Florida, I believe.

    My guess is Leake/Shark get 5 years at 16-18 million. Gallardo gets four years at 15-16 million. O'Day gets 3-4 years at 8-9 million. Madson gets two years at 5-6 million a year. All figures pulled somewhere out of my GI tract.

    I would be content with Shore, Funkhouser, Brown or Tyler. I am especially intrigued by Logan Shore's plus changeup with climbing velocity as a 20 year old. We would be very lucky if Quantrill slips to us.

    I find a few things about this off-season entertaining. Jays fans have been played by the American media (I guess everybody gets manipulated by the American propaganda machine). The story that the Blue Jays were "all in" on Price when they didn't offer him a contract...clearly lies created to drive the contract up. Morosi saying AA was working on an extension offer while failing to acknowledge that the previous management had a 5 year maximum length of contract. Its unfortunate the general fans are so easily manipulated by morons.

    Touche...I will admit that it was personal sentiment over useful facts like that. I would hope we take a flyer on Henderson Alvarez though!

    I never thought of that. I certainly would have loved a one year flyer on Justin Mourneau at 6-8 million, instead of Smoak.
