I do find this team frustrating as hell to watch right now. They are a little too "peaks and valleys"... They are still a young team that had a LOT of expectations this year and hopefully they are just going through a downturn and will pull out of it soon.

Holy stupid-leaving-out-half-the-narrative-Batman dumb s*** is this? I don't have a hard on for this current iteration of the Jays head office but this is just lazy. The AA "World Series contender" team was all-in. It was Peaks and Valleys management. Go all in once a cycle... This team and organizational depth is CLEARLY a much different model. Atkins et al are obviously trying to establish depth AND a winning product. This is really obvious honestly.

Good call... If the season ended today does Manoah or Gausman get more actual Cy Young votes from actual voters? It will be interesting to see how the last third of the season ends up with our top 3 starters...it honestly feels like any of them could s*** the bed or finish the season lights out. This pitching staff has been so unpredictable this year.

I love your posts! I can always count on you mentioning "Covid" and other off-topic crap so that moderators like BTS can ban you for a week (or forever?!?!) like they said they would. There are a few posters here that add very little to the baseball discussion yet are always front and center when it comes to getting s*** off the rails. You know a lot about baseball but can never stop yourself from diving into the muck that centers around your political and social beliefs. f*** your beliefs and talk about baseball. This is an amazing BASEBALL forum and it should be treated as such.

Wow....that's crazy! He has without doubt put in the work to be where he is. Moved from 1st to 3rd, lost weight, learned a new position...all at a very young age. Seriously bravo to him. -

Looked like a bang bang play that sometimes they execute and sometimes they don't. Tonight was one of those 50/50 games that sometimes you lose. Is what it is.

Pearson got my hopes up but had setbacks...made me think "stop falling in love with pitching prospects! They always break your heart...". And then Manoah came along and gave me hope again... I want to believe in Tiedemann I really do. One thing that has definitely changed is the pitching lab. It really looks like the Jays analytics and facilities are caught up to each other. They seem to have the data and the technology/equipment to turn analysis into results. They also seem to be drafting and attracting the type of athletes that crave that environment.

Wow...he has been in the Jays system for 5 years and he is only 21? I remember there was some hype around him after the Jays signed him. I am definitely watching and rooting for him!

We got CF depth, relief and starting depth and gave up lottery tickets. I like the moves they made. This front office has been pretty accurate when they have traded away high profile prospects in the past. I have to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point.

Yah we have catcher depth but Jansen brings a lot of stability to the pitching staff. In a playoff run you need someone like that. Kirk and Moreno are amazing but in tight playoff games I want someone with more experience than Kirk and Moreno in tight games. edit...apparently I need to use "tight" in sentences at least twice...tight...

I think they really need to look at a good fall back plan for CF and maybe catcher. This offense and defense look a lot different without Springer and Jansen. The players they have now can shuffle to fill holes in all the other positions and still compete. If they lose Springer and/or Jansen the outlook is not nearly as rosy. I might even put those two positional needs ahead of relief pitching but it would be close. I think they can fill all three of those needs without breaking the prospect bank.

I am definitely not a hard core fan but I do enjoy reading about the progress of the young talent in the Blue Jay's minor league systems. Home grown talent (or traded for early on like Espinal) makes rooting for the team that much better. I am looking forward to any articles, deep dives or insites into any of our new prospects! Please post whatever you find. 👍😊

Not sure if this is the best place to post this but the play-by-play radio guy for the Vancouver Canadians is really good. A ton of great insight into all levels of the Jays system. Really does a great job of letting you know what is going on in the game and offers background on the players etc. Love listening to the Canadians games on the radio from Victoria.
