  1. Is there a chance they want to see what Liriano has before making the final decision? Let's be honest, Liriano's been horrid this year.
  2. I hear the snuff throws off your balance at times.
  3. Glory for the win. In spring training, if you're not a kid, the players won't even acknowledge you.
  4. Bolsinger up as a long man due to the extra inning game last night? I'd imagine he's going to be our 6th starter in AAA no?
  5. I've never been so excited to see what a 26 year old career minor leaguer has to offer us...
  6. With his ego - I can totally see him betting on himself on a 1 year, show me contract.
  7. Personally, I'd love to see him take a page out of Pablo Sandoval's book.....tear it up from here on out, win World Series MVP as the Jays get crowned champs, then we'll qualify him, watch someone overpay and then promptly decline while we restock the farm.
  8. No team trying to win wants Matt Kemp on their roster.
  9. what is Atlanta doing? (sorry if this has already been discussed - I was always all weekend and just catching up with the deals now).
  10. Grilli's fist pumps alone qualify as high reward for the Jays (and fans). Man I love me some Grilli.
  11. I'm saying in terms of relievers, it's a high reward acquisition. I think you underestimate the impact Grilli's had on the pen. I love analytics, but I don't think the WAR numbers do justice in this case. I think there's a real chance that Benoit, Grilli, Sanchez and Osuna are the 4 pen horses we ride to the WS this year.
  12. I think Benoit is similar to Grilli - and he's been a high reward acquisition. I don't expect a lot from Feldman.
  13. um - Ross is just setting up the media and casual fan.
  14. It's the only logical explanation as to why someone would support Jose's antics with umpires
  15. Listen bud - he's one of the biggest complainers (to umpires) in the league. That's fact. If you remove his manhood from the base of your throat for a moment and/or if you ever played baseball, you'd realise the whining his displays at the plate is bad for the team and the game. That's one the leading reasons why he's widely considered a douche. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the mental capacity to understand this (or the self control to resist it). It's a pretty common characteristic in the hot head / egotistical jackass types.
  16. Having good instincts and base running ability is never a bad thing - even if it doesn't translate into SB's at the ML level. His old man couldn't learn English after being in NA for like 15 years. Anything to suggest he studies the game a bit is a good sign IMO.
  17. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/rangers-land-potential-relief-ace/ Jays should have traded for this guy.
  18. Its like you don't watch baseball.
  19. You should probably keep random, uneducated thoughts like this to yourself more often...
  20. Um...nobody argues with umpires like Jose. Umpires have been s***** since the Babe was around. Jose looks like a baby when he complains and I think that's the primary reason people think he's a douche.
  21. I think most consider him a douchebag for his antics with the umpires. That isn't personality, it's a lack of emotional intelligence and self control.
  22. Not sure I could fathom giving the ball to Hutch in the playoff either...
