  1. Ah f*** you're too cleaver for me Dick. You must be related to Buck.
  2. He was already hooked - but that locked it down for sure. It was magical.
  3. Bandwagon just stopped...everybody off.
  4. Gibby sent the starter out for the 8th tonight Dick. How'd that work out?
  5. My 5 year old son's first ever game. I showed him how to wear the rally cap that day and Travis made those in my section a believer. Best game of my life.

  7. Nice to see GD making the GDT in what could be the most important game to date...
  8. Who the f*** are you? Nostradamus?
  9. I could be wrong - but I think Liriano has been horrible when facing the lineup the 3rd time through this year...
  10. Qualifying Offer? I don't even want him in our lineup RIGHT NOW, let alone next year at $17M
  11. We only have one "sans meniscus" year to go off man. You want to fool yourself by suggesting his defense was fine when he still had all his knee? Be my guest.
  12. So Carlos Gomez needed a chance of scenery... wRC+ of 147 and 1.2 WAR in 31 games and 124 PA's with Texas. f*** Texas.
  13. Anyone think Teixeira was simply admiring the last meaningful home run (and simply the last) he'll ever hit? I'd probably soak it in too...
  14. I tend to agree with Benoit. It's similar to the NHL these days. If you lay a good clean check on a star player - a fight MUST ensue.
  15. Another storybook moment last night as A.Diaz - who grew up on the same street as Fernandez hit a GS last night (he didn't play the night before, as he went to be with Jose's family0. You can't make this s*** up folks.
  16. That has nothing to do with the quality of the wood. He's suggesting lighter bats are made of s*** wood (errrr at least that's how I understood it).
  17. Wait - did Buck just tell us that Reggie Jackson when to a shorter bat because he didn't want to sacrifice the quality of the wood (implying he would be if he went to a lighter bat). Just fire him please. So much dumn.
  18. I think Smoak got it right on the back of the knee (feels like there's a proper name for that spot, which is not the back of the knee). That's sensitive as f*** and I bet he's sore as hell today. Severino is so s***** he can't even hit people properly. He has good control of the bean ball, but poor command (or vice versa - whatever).
  19. Think about this for a second.....throwing a ball 95 MPH at someone's ribs is perfectly acceptable and deemed "part of the game". [joker voice] Suggest a player throw the bat at the pitcher and everyone loses their f***ing minds [/joker voice]. It's a little bizarre no? The best part is the reasoning is probably because the pitcher can control his weapon more than the batter and thus is less likely to cause serious injury...It shall only be deemed "part of the game" if you have precise control of your weapon...
  20. Is there a link on this? this is fantastic news.
  21. Fine - I'm off by saying throwing at heads...but throwing at ribs and the back is the "preferred" bean ball location and that act is accepted throughout baseball. I'm just curious who decided that's acceptable - but throwing the bat back at the pitcher isn't (and how do we get to that point). Who gets to make those decisions? Goose Gossage? I mean f***, the Hal McRae barrel roll/body check at 2nd base was somehow accepted back in the day. How does something as ridiculous like McRae taking the SS into left field and/or a 95 MPH fastball to the ribs ever get deemed "part of the game"?
  22. Perhaps he should undo his pony tail, man up and deal with the issue himself. Like a man.
  23. I'm certain they were in their clubhouse and/or by their fans. Hell - I think fans of the other 29 teams in MLB cheered on Odor.
