    Oh well yeah. I thought we were talking about getting him on the cheap based on the perception that the Mets were perfectly willing to stunt his growth by platooning him and/or letting him rot on the bench.

    Both HR's last night were on off speed pitches. Stop throwing him those - bring the high heat. Pitchers will adjust.

    I doubt he was ever one it. He's en fuego right now and should be one of the Mets building blocks for years to come.

    Based on the top of Grant's head - I'd say OF is pretty thin right now. Shortstop too (as I think Urena sucks and Bichette will end up at 3rd or 2nd) unless Gurriel can stick there. I'd aim for the best player available in any trade, but finding our shortstop of the future sure would be nice.

    Certainly there must be some compromise (where you can see HR balls, but not useless pop ups). Personally, I think they need more seats with shade. The 100 level is a cesspool of body odour and sunburns in the summer. It's unhealthy and generally unfit for families with young children unfortunately.

    The franchise shortstop tree has fewer branches than the average starting pitcher tree man... Swanson may not develop into a franchise shortstop, but he alone was worth way more than Shelby Miller at the time.
