  1. I don't blame him one bit. 300 wins is an iconic number.
  2. I thought you were MIA all summer. Perhaps I didn't notice your return (phone broke a week ago and I've been a mess since). WB.
  3. Actually - that would be a sweet upgrade. I love the 200 level seats behind home plate.
  4. Anyone know if Daniel Norris still lives in a van during spring training?
  5. Phil in the IT department does. Phil knows his s***.
  6. ah that's awful. I never heard that. I missed him last night.
  7. I'll certainly be looking to open my wallet to see the new paint job!
  8. The Contract isn't awful, but I'd be reluctant to bring in another guy who posts a wRC+ in the 80's and relies on his speed. Especially since he'll be turning 30 next year. I'd rather trade for Derek Dietrich and see if we can extend him for a couple of a years.
  9. Fans are dumb if they are going to the dome because they think the 2017 Jays are a playoff team. It is what it is right now - you go to the game because you like watching baseball. Sometimes they'll win, sometimes they'll lose - but it doesn't really matter because overall, they aren't going anywhere. The same thing can be said if they rebuild....unfortunately, fans are dumb.
  10. How does a Dr. find time to scout? shakes head.
  11. Just looking to understand all the hate on here for Judge. Is it just because he's a Yankee? Personally - I LOVE great young baseball players regardless of the team they play for. The Yankees new young core is probably going to be a significant hurdle for our Blue Jays for the better part of the next decade, but for some reason, I can't help but get excited by what they have there. It's good for baseball.
  12. That was entertaining AF. Watching Bour in front of his own fans screaming and pimping home run after home run was unreal. That guy reminds me of Matt Stairs. I never knew he had that kinda pop. Judge is simply ridiculous. Four 500+ ft home runs was unbelievable. I also enjoyed watching Stanton hit rapid fire home runs in Round 1. If they could make any change, I'd get rid of the rule that the ball has to land before you throw another pitch. Screw it - go at whatever pace you want. MLB has done this right.
  13. Naylor hit 2. That's why it's not televised. Winner hit 5 I think.
  14. Yeah - screw Blackmon! I'm surprised nobody is picking the hometown hero to win it.
  15. Meh - great young player. I'd rather see them replacing Moose and Blackmon tbh. Bour too, but he's a hometown guy so whatever.
  16. The struggle is real for most international FA's. There were some good stories posted here a while back on the matter illustrating challenging it is for 17-18 year old kids who move to a new country, can't speak English and have no idea where, or how to get proper food. It's a lot more complicated when it comes to North American draftees. It's like saying don't give people welfare - get out and get a job you bum. Although there is some logic with it - history has proven this approach isn't overly effective. Are minor league players required to work out together in the gym? I would assume they are on a program for that?
  17. +1. I've never sat there and said "ahhh - I've seen this one" or "ahhh - I don't like this episode. It's the best.
  18. I think millennials eat significantly better than most generations. Avocado toast for days. Seriously though - most of them realize how important it is for them to hit the gym and be in top shape if they are going to advance to the show. I don't think it's that much of a stretch to give them some cash for some better food (although some will just go buy more drugs with it).
  19. Fair point. I'm not suggesting I'm 100% for blowing it up to the bare bones and losing 100 games for 3-4 years. I was just arguing that I don't agree with OP's suggestion that there's nothing to gain from blowing it up. Blow it up, retool - these are all subjective definitions guys. Oh - and I think the Cards run is nearly over. They suck.
  20. Jake M comes in to play RF, while Reddick moves to CF???? Since when is Reddick better defensively in CF than gorgeous Jake?
  21. Vlad must have one hell of a bat considering most project him to be playing 1st in the majors.
  22. How on earth was Alex Wood left off the team originally?
