  1. Did I miss the discussion about how Jackie Redmond was apparently f***ing Donaldson last year and his girlfriend found out...possibly explaining his slump. She's now going to the NHL Network. My apologies if this has already been discussed...
  2. SD has reportedly offered Hosmer a 7 year deal. Yikes.
  3. Is there anyway to get Juan Soto and Carter Kieboom from the Nationals? Can we catch them in a "win now" mode before Harper leaves via free agency? Would that be the type of package we'd want for Osuna?
  4. ZIPS also threw down a MIKE TYSON comp for Yolmer Sanchez. That guy must carry one hell of a right hook.
  5. A friend of mine was sleeping with Patrick Brown for a bit about a year ago.
  6. Yeah just watched his 2017 highlights. He does look fat. Looks like a hitter though.
  7. Thank you sir. Can he play the OF? If so, I'd love to land him. He's put up some huge numbers in the minors.
  8. what Choi are we talking about? Stro needs a side gig - what a joke.
  9. I'm actually kind of happy there are consequences for being an attention seeking douche bag.
  10. I assume you're trolling. Reds aren't trading for JD and what do you like/see in Winker? I kind of think a package like Almora, Happ + a lottery ticket in Aramis Ademan or something like that might be the best we can get for an expiring contract.
  11. I'd take Happ + Almora for JD. Cubbies could play Bryant in the OF and JD at 3rd. Then deal Pillar to the Giants when they fail to land Billy Hamilton.
  12. To be fair to Jim, in 2010, Morrow was on pace for 5 WAR/200 innings, 3.6 WAR/200 in 2011 and 3.9 WAR/200 innings in 2012. That's basically the same as Stroman in 2014, 2016, 2017. I think those are #1/#2 numbers. That said - I think it's a stretch to think Morrow would still be a top of the rotation guy in 2018.
  13. re: potential Machado trade....."The Cubs purportedly offered a package of Addison Russell, Albert Almora and Mike Montgomery but were rebuffed." That seems like a pretty good offer for an expiring contract.
  14. is it still too late to vote?
  15. Can anyone think of the last time the offseason has been this slow? Although in the same breath - trading Stanton and signing Ohtani were both massive moves... Interesting to see the Jays take the patient approach this year after "jumping" the market the previous years with Happ and Morales.
  16. Hard to argue with that logic.
  17. I'd love to see if McGuire can carry over the success he had with the bat last season. No way I want him rotting on our bench to start the season. As was pointed out, if Martin goes down, call up Jansen or McGuire to start.
  18. In 2015 he was better than Bumgarner has ever been (playoffs excluded). Last year was a bit of a down season (matched Bumgarner's 2012 season). Take all his other season and project them to Bumgarner's innings pitched and he's just as good. He just hasn't been able to stay healthy consistently.
  19. I don't know man. He's been pretty damn good when healthy. I would bet his WAR/inning is right up there. He just hasn't been able to stay healthy. Christ that's a good, young, deep rotation now. The Yanks look unstoppable - especially if Torres steps right in and produces. I mean we've said that before (usually about Washington), but hot damn, the next 3-5 years doesn't look promising for the Jays.
  20. Pittsburgh planning for when McCutchen leaves (Marte, Frazier, Meadows).
  21. Good point - that's probably it.
  22. Agreed. I expect Logan Morrison will get a similar deal too. I'd much rather hope that the breakouts by Alonso and Morrison are real than go back to the incredibly average Mitch Moreland.
  23. Ironic since he's now a good defender and an awful hitter.
  24. Don't feed the troll please.
