  1. on the flip side, McGuire's off to a horrendous start. As is Tellez.
  2. The average age in A ball is 22? who knew! (besides John_Havok obviously). John - I love the MiLB updates, so I won't ever chirp you again.
  3. 1. Noda's old (for the level) and an advanced hitter. 2. Pitchers in A ball are awful at throwing strikes consistently. 3. Don't use the R word. It's not 2006.
  4. are you guys still going on about nothing in here? move on.
  5. WTF? Sounds like a scene out of Major League.
  6. Is Jon Harris getting his s*** together finally? Cavan stays hot....
  7. how long does it take for K% to stabilize? 23.7 so far this year is certainly something we could stomach long term (and perhaps it a lot more reflective of the K% he posted in the last 819 PA's he had in AA/AAA while in the Houston organization).
  8. You guys are on fire tonight. I just "thanked" 7 straight posts. Only Jim's bizarre comment about Ohtani could break the streak!
  9. It seems so bizarre that teams don't do this. What are we missing?
  10. I went and took down the Christmas lights! Feel much better.
  11. Romine...f*** me Garcia.
  12. Tabby - "these are tough days for outfielders.....Sundays" WTF??? hahaha. That's the best one yet!
  13. Yeah I am a bit cranky today. B&T do that to me (regularly). Are the radio/tv feeds synced? Are those who hate Wilner the same who like B&T?
  14. He's one of the best in baseball. Going to need some timely hits and some luck today.
  15. Buck - "over the past 6 starts in yankee stadium, he's starting to look like the ace they want him to be" 3rd in the AL in CY voting last year.....palm to face.
  16. See what happens when you throw sinkers to a guy who golfs low pitches? Tabby "that sinker didn't sink" yes it did Tabby you f***tard. You're s***.
  17. Remember all the people predicting Judge would have a big sophomore slump? K% down 6% so far. 202 wRC+
  18. While talking about his cutter/slider Tabby "he's going to turn the ball over" I don't think Tabby knows what turning the ball over is.
  19. 92 MPH right down the middle Buck - "there's a breaking ball for a strike"
  20. Fernando Tatis Jr. is being humbled by AA. wRC+ of 36 BB% - 1.5 K% - 29.4 OK - he's getting ass f***ed sans lube in AA
  21. Would it kill anyone on the pre-game show to talk about: 1. How teams typically need 8-10 starters to get through the season? They talk about how Garcia is a sneaky good late signing as the Jays used 2 or 3 starters in the 5th spot last year. FFS - just explain that teams need lots of starting pitching depth (it's not just the 5th spot in the rotation) and how they've done that by signing Garcia, stretching out Biagini in AAA, advancing Borucki, signing Deck McGuire, acquiring Guerrieri + Gaviglio, etc. 2. Talk about how the "fly ball revolution" is also geared at lifting the ball low in the zone (or sinking pitches) - the Ted Williams approach. They just go on about how Garcia has to keep the ball low to keep it in the park. This isn't 2011. Educate the casual please. These aren't crazy sabermetic matters.
  22. That's the Pillar we know. Swings at a ball over his head
