    Nice breakdown - a couple of names there I'd never heard of. Can anyone tell me about Travis Bergen? Great K/BB ratios this year as a lefty out of the pen...but he's 24 and in AA. Is he a hard thrower? We really could use a reliable lefty in our pen moving forward. Mayza's probably that guy, but it would be nice if we had a couple of options.

    There were lots of players last year (throughout MLB) who just chose to use their own last name instead of a nickname. They may feel nicknames (and the players weekend in general) are stupid or non-traditional or disrespectful or something. Why would Sanchez use 'Sanchize' ? Nobody actually calls him that do they? Isn't that something the media created when he was good 2 years ago? Like f*** me - he's many moons from being 'the franchise' these days. He should go with 'Blister' or 'Made of Glass' or 'Overrated' or something

    This is true (although it's AA, not AAA). He'll be 24 in less than a month. Pompey still has more upside - and that's saying a lot. Speaking of Pompey's - Tristan's off to a good start and has already been moved up to A+ ball.

    It would be awesome if Buck & Tabby could take a year off from telling the causals that Pillar is an improved, more mature hitter who's worked hard to take more walks and swing at better pitches (when he's on a hot streak).
