Does anyone know what's they've done for golf? Did they drop the 'purse' down significantly to account for the loss of spectators? Did golfers complain about this? I'll admit - I have no idea how much impact the spectators have on the purse/revenue/profit.

That's contrary to people reporting the Owners keep offering the same thing - about 33% of the players total salaries. I don't think the players see 'working less' for more $/hour the way the rest of the world does.

SD has a massive draft if they can sign everyone....wowser. Robert Hassell III Justin Lange Owen Caissie Cole Wilcox Levi Thomas Jagger Hayes If Baltimore was wondering, this is how you take an under slot guy with your first pick and use it to secure some huge talent afterwards.

I was all pretty bizarre. You'd have thought they would have taken Cole Wilcox/JT Ginn/Kelley/Jones in the 2nd and Tanner Witt in the 3rd.... Kjerstad, Westburg, Wilcox (or Ginn), Witt, Mayo, Baumler would have been a good haul and a strategy you could defend.

I support this move. I read someone who said we have 'some' upside over other MLB teams because we're one of the few that's going to pay minor leaguers more than others. If we do have a slight advantage, we could use it to sign some non-drafted guys for $20K to replace the 4th and 5th round picks.

2/3 of the Jays total is only $6.48M. It would actually be amazing if we signed him for that. It's less than $300K over slot. Couple of Jim's with a bad take on this one...

Isn't Owen Caissie projected as like a 5th round pick? Can't we take him at 77th and still get him to sign well under slot? Seems like there are some really talented kids at 42 that we shouldn't pass on.
