  1. Maybe you shouldn't listen to rumors.

How f***ing hard is this? The classic Oilers uni from the late 80's / early 90's is awesome.
  3. I saw a couple of hypothetical trades the Raps could make Powell + 2021 2nd for Marvin Bagley McCaw + two 2nd's for Zach Collins I like both these options to improve the front court.
  4. I'm just looking at their history. Roark and Walker have similar career FIP and xFIP and Roark isn't made of glass. Roark was horrid last year, but I think there's a decent chance he returns to the guy he was in 2018 and 2019 - while there's probably a good chance Walker doesn't eclipse 50 innings.
  5. What a massive deal. Kyrie is f***ing insane. Incredibly stupid.
  6. Stability within the FO and organization in general should be viewed as a positive - especially for a team on the brink of contending.
  7. I think there's a strong possibility that Roark is significantly better than Walker this year.
  8. I don't understand the interest in Walker at all. Why are we interesting in someone who's: a) extremely injury prone - throwing 67 innings in 3 year; and doesn't have quality metrics (or electric stuff) when healthy. If we settle for him, there's no way we should commit beyond a 1 year deal. Guys who throw 67 innings over 3 years don't command multi year deals unless they have been lights out (which Walker hasn't been).
  9. Apparently Benintendi will be traded by the end of the week? Seems like an odd move - trading low.
  10. If this were true - someone would have taken him for $10M.
  11. Hand's velo has dipped a ton the past 2 years (although the results remain). Given everyone passed on him for 1 year $10M - I have to think there's something up.

He needs f***ing help. I hope the judge tells him to f*** off, go back to work, earn your $7M per year and pay off your debts like an adult.
  13. I think you write this one off and regroup next year when you're back in Toronto. The question is do you trade Lowry and retool with a core of Siakam, FVV, OG, a lottery pick + a TON of cap space with supplemental guys like Norm, Boucher, Flynn, Davis, etc.
  14. Do they? Hasn't Boucher been really good this year? I'll admit I don't have a great eye for telling who's good and who's bad defensively, but he looks like a more athletic Ibaka...while acknowledging he probably gets exposed against heavier, stronger forwards. Bayes and Len blow offensively - but so did Gasol last year. Are they both a significant downgrade defensively from 2019-20 Gasol too?
  15. Unless there's a huge interest payment included, deferring money is a huge benefit to ownership - and it only benefits the player if they are really awful with money. $1M in 2035 is worth much less than $1M in 2020. Any player with the ability to invest should want the money as soon as possible. Compound interest is powerful.
  16. If that's the worst move this FO ever makes - then they've done an incredible job. You seem hysteric at times.
  17. You may be correct (and it may be the right call), but the Owner isn't going to tell the media anything different. They don't want teams to know they are eager to dump Wentz as it will hurt his trade value.
  18. I read an article on various potential trades. I think one to Miami is the best fit...although I'm not sure they'd need to give up the 18th pick too unless Houston really hates Tua (and they likely don't make this trade unless they believe in him).
  19. Apparently his relationship with Wentz was also beyond repair - although rumours are the Wentz was a total dick about being benched, acting like a prima donna. Still, the organization might want to keep the option of keep Wentz open. Might be a good time to get the f*** out of Philly though.
  20. It will be interesting what the high performance team decides for him this year as they clearly coddled him with kids gloves last year.
  21. I thought we banned Morosi updates on this board. If not, we should. f*** him.
  22. I agree - most of our best SP depth needs to end up in our bullpen....and I suspect those guys (Merryweather, Hatch, Murphy, etc.) will end up as some of our best options. The question is - does this impact their ability to develop as starters? It seems the thought process on this is constantly changing.
  23. I think he's certainly earned that. He pushes the ball down the field a lot better than most backups.
  24. I agree with this, but with the understanding he probably isn't signing an extension (which may decrease the cost to acquire him). But those are the same reasons the Cubs probably keep him (unless they get a good package).
  25. Like the Jays Stroman trade / Ryu signing... I doubt it, but maybe?
