  1. All titles are based on click potential man.
  2. That's not really now it works man. He'd be perfectly fine in the OF. And if you want some history on this, Rick Ankiel had TJ surgery, but then gave up pitching to be a full time OFer. He had an INCREDIBLE arm in the OF. Here's some proof
  3. No? Where was that? I think the vast majority of people believe AA is now a very good GM. Is he perfect? No, he still makes mistakes, but he's very good.
  4. The probability of him being a very good to GG level OFer are quite high. He's one of the most athletic players in the game. One of the fastest runners, who obviously has a huge arm. He was also regarded as a great defensive OFer in Japan. You don't have to squint much (at all?) to see this. Now of course, he hasn't played it in years, so yes, there is an outside chance he's lots some instincts and had turned into Teo out there - but I suspect the probability of that is quite lot - 10-15% chance.
  5. I can't believe SD is showing their hand like this. Everyone knows they are broke and can't afford Soto anymore. GM must be offering 50 cents on the dollar.
  6. Given your history - you're probably talking to yourself.
  7. This guy has TOTY locked up. Though it is crazy that Nicky Lopez has a 6 WAR season under his belt.
  8. You're impossible man. First off, if he's a "DH for most of the contract" than he's also pitching. If he isn't pitching, he's likely a GG RFer who putting up 7-10 WAR a season. Obviously there are risks in any deal this big, but Ohtani has fewer risks than most as Laika points out. You also can't downplay the potential to have one of the best baseball players in the world (and of all time?) on your roster. Nothing seems to make you happy (unrealistic expectations much?).
  9. I'm sure they are. They may also be including clauses that allows Ohtani to decide whether he pitches or not? Maybe Ohtani wants to pitch, even if he becomes 2021-2023 Patrick Corbin on the mound because he wants the legacy of remaining a 2 way player his entire career.
  10. I was just going to ask this also. At what point is his effectiveness on the mound no longer worth "wasting" him as a DH? Is he PRIME Mike Trout if he becomes a fulltime RFer? I think he's probably a 7-10 WAR player
  11. Not to be a wet blanket, but what is the probably that Ohtani never returns to form as a pitcher? 2nd TJ surgery. What are the chances that someone is paying $600M for a phenomenal RFer (I'd assume he moves to RF and is a stud there if he ever has to give up pitching)? Although I 1000% love watching him pitch, I've always wondered just how good he could be if he just focused on hitting. Is it a 40% chance that whomever signs Ohtani gets little to no pitching out of him? I wonder how much teams are factoring that into their offers.
  12. I mean if you did get 2021 Vlad - which Top 5 is better? and yes that's a big IF
  13. I will sacrifice my wife if it means we land Ohtani...
  14. Maybe just admit you're wrong and stop being a dick? $40M a year in endorsements isn't even that much. Ronaldo made $90M in 2023, Lebron made $75M, Steph Curry made $52M, Federer made $95M
  15. Everyone f***ing loves Ryan Reynolds. That's a good call.
  16. Von Miller is apparently assaulting pregnant women. That's not good.
  17. Which one? He has like 12.

    Likely. He's a scumbag.
  19. yeah - I really like that suggestion.
  20. You mean he's never topped the 4.3 WAR season Teo had in 2021 (when he was the 28th most valuable hitter in baseball)? I mean, OK, but that doesn't mean he's chopped liver. He's a very solid player though, but yes, not exactly a superstar (despite all his antics)
  21. The real question is when does Ben Shulman join his old man in the broadcast booth?
  22. Randy would be a great fit in LF for us. I wonder what he'd cost the Jays (and if TB would trade within the division)
  23. That was my thought. The Emilio Pagan signing makes Atkins looks like a genius for signing Green.
